This was our second time of staying and it was lovely. We wouldnt hesitate to come again. Everything is clean and exactly as described the pool is great and its mostly just us using it. Its a great position for the local town of Caux only a 5 min walk and about 30-40mins drive to the beaches.
We had a lovely stay in this superb gite. We had excellent communication from booking to arriving. The gite was ideal for our holiday. It was exceptionally clean and had all the amenities we required for a comfortable 2 week stay. The gite is ideally placed to walk to caux, 5 mins which has a few small restaurants and a bar . The swimming pool is fantastic and ideal after a day at the beach. We would love to return again.
This was our second visit and la petite maison was even better than we had remembered. We arrived during a heatwave, after a very busy and stressful few months, and it was truly wonderful just to sit in the shade and relax, venturing out from under the poolside trees every so often for a swim or to top up our cold drinks. The value of the peace and quiet of Maïté et Jean-Philippe's beautiful garden cannot be underestimated - both it and the house made relaxing incredibly easy. The house was spotless and thoughtfully equipped, our hosts were as lovely as ever, and it really was difficult to leave!

Merci Tara pour ce joli commentaire. Ce sera toujours un plaisir de vous recevoir. Nous apprécions beaucoup votre gentillesse
This well appointed little Gite is ideal for a couple. All the amenities are on a single level, with a good sized bedroom and plenty of wardrobe space. The view from the bedroom is stunning, right across vineyards into the distance with no other buildings in sight.
The garden has plenty of comfortable outdoor furniture making it ideal to relax in after a day’s sightseeing. There is an impressive well maintained swimming pool open from June onwards.
The property lies on the edge of the historic town of Caux which is filled with fascinating buildings and architecture and there are plenty of lovely walks both in and around the town.
The owners were very welcoming and helpful which added to the enjoyment of our stay.
Special getting away from it all property for any couple....but within easy driving distance of the airport and larger villages and towns too.
The "little house" is actually perfectly formed and spacious with everything you would need for your holiday.
Very clean and well looked after and a joy to live in as it always looks tidy because there is so much well thought out storage and equipment available throughout the whole property.
Quiet, secluded garden and super well maintained pool with lots of different seating areas to catch the sun all day or enjoy the evening and the stars!
The village of Caux is lovely and good for daily needs and eating out too.
For shopping we loved the brand new Super U in Roujon which has all you could need.
A massive thank you to Maite and Jean Philippe for a wonderful holiday we hope to return again very soon.
maintained pool perfect for hot days.
We have just returned from an absolutely fantastic two-week stay in Jean-philippe and Maïté's gîte. The house was extremely well equipped, the pool was fabulous, and the garden was a magical place just to relax and hide away. Our hosts were lovely - helpful and easy-going. We loved spending time with their pets too.
Caux itself is beautiful - we particularly appreciated the swooping swifts and swallows, the friendliness of the local people, and the lack of traffic.
There is an enormous amount to see within a short drive. We especially enjoyed Béziers, Villeneuvette and Sète (we were lucky that our stay coincided with the water jousting). Our tour of the Noilly Prat distillery in Marseillan was also a highlight. We tried a range of beaches and can recommend La Tamarissière. Despite feeling that we had seen a great many beautiful and interesting things, we really only scratched the surface, and would love to make a return visit.
Thank you Jean-philippe and Maïté!
