Charming Town House

Traditional town house in the beautiful town of Etretat. Minutes from the beach, cafés, bars and restaurants- a superb location. The house was dated in some areas, but totally charming. The bedrooms were bright and spacious with immaculate bed linen and comfortable beds. We really enjoyed our stay and the warm welcome we received from Franck.

Misleading information

While Franck seemed very nice, he may be unorganized. VRBO said he would contact me 3 days before arrival. Not hearing from him, I called the day before. I did not receive a text he then said he would send. Knowing the address, we found directions on Google. We had to call Franck again to determine how to get into the house. All very confusing as the photo of the front is not where you enter. Several things in the VRBO listing were false or misleading. Most importantly, amenities listed include parking. There is no parking on the property. Street parking costs $45 for 5 1/2 hours IF you can find a spot. Another traveler told us about a lot nearby for $10 a day. There is a washing machine, but it is across the alley and a neighbor has the key. We never saw an ironing board. We were charged a cleaning fee even though housekeeper is listed as included. Photos of the interior are accurate, but a photo of the narrow, winding stairs was not included. We are very mobile for early 70s, but many people would be apprehensive. House has 3 floors. 1 bedroom and bath on 2nd floor, 2 bedrooms on 3rd. Bedrooms nicely decorated and linens nice. Plenty of dishes, glassware, pots, etc. 2 dishwasher pods but no dishwashing liquid or hand soap to get started. A Dyson vacuum half full of dirt and a pair of old slippers and other junk was stuffed in a corner of the kitchen. Other of Franck's renters knocked on our door with similar problems locating their apt and thinking free parking.

Bonjour Julie, J'avoue que j'ai du mal à comprendre votre message et je le trouve même très irrespectueux. Quand on loue une maison, on lit le descriptif. Dans le descriptif, tout y est parfaitement décrit comme le fait qu'il n'y a pas de parking dans ma maison mais qu'il y en a autour qui sont soi payants ou soit gratuit aux entrées de la ville. Dans les descriptif de ma maison, il est mentionné également qu'il y a sur demande un accès à la buanderie pour laver le linge et que cette buanderie est partagée. L'espace ou se situe la buanderie m'appartient également donc je ne vois pas pourquoi, il y aurait un problème. Il est également mentionné dans le descriptif de ma maison qu'il y a 3 étages et de toutes façons, cela se voit parfaitement sur la photo de la façade donc la prochaine fois avant de louer une maison, je vous prierai de lire ce qui est écrit dans le descriptif pour ne pas m'accuser de n'importe quoi et surtout pour ne pas raconter n'importe quoi après. Je ne comprends pas non plus pourquoi, vous écrivez que vous n'avez pas réussi à me joindre car je vous ai moi aussi appelé et je vous ai envoyé des messages que vous n'avez malheureusement pas reçu sans doute du fait au fait que votre opérateur de téléphonie est différent du mien. En revanche vous êtes rentrés dans ma maison avant 16H comme il est prévu dans le contrat. L'aspirateur était plein, c'est un fait, vous pardonnez la femme de ménage, je l'espère, d'avoir pour une fois oublier de le vider ce qui en soit n'est pas non plus dramatique. Je rajouterai un fer à repasser, effectivement, il n'y en a pas. Dernier point, oui il y a des choses personnelles dans cette maison, sous l'escalier, il y a des choses qui m'appartiennent car c'est une maison dans laquelle je vis également et dans laquelle ma famille et moi passons des vacances ne vous en déplaise. 2 choses dans la vie m'insupporte, le mensonge et la mauvaise foi. Je regrette très sincèrement les notes que je vous ai mise. Bonne continuation!

een enigzins gedateerde stadswoning met de perfecte locatie voor uitstapjes in etretat. parkeren kan NIET bij de woning, maar of aan de weg (betaald) of bij de ingang van het dorp op een openbare parkeerplaats.

Maison normande bien placée au centre d’Etretat au calme à deux pas de la mer et des falaises . Ancienne maison rénovée avec goût chambres et salle de bain . Cuisine bien équipée , manque juste quelques petites cuillères. .L’ensemble est d’une propreté irréprochable , le linge de maison nickel , merci à la personne qui assure l’entretien . Faites comme nous enlevez vos chaussures à l’entrée. . Le propriétaire est agréable .Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Strandnahes Haus mit Charme

Der Aufenthalt in diesem Haus hat uns gut gefallen. Die Schlafzimmer sind neu ausgestattet, mit sehr guten Betten und genug Stauraum für unsere Kleidung. Das Bad ist geschmackvoll renoviert, klein aber fein. Im geräumgen Wohnbereich gibt es alles, was das Teenagerherz begehrt: Einen großen Fernseher mit Apple-TV und eine starke Bluetooth-Box. Für Unterhaltung ist also bestens gesorgt. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Der Gastgeber war über WhattsApp und Telefon gut zu erreichen. Er hat uns bei allen Fragen schnell geantwortet und gut geholfen. Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr gut, zum Strand sind es nur wenige Minuten, die nächste Bäckerei ist gleich gegenüber. Einziger Manko: Das Haus hat leider keinen eigenen Parkplatz. Zum Aus- und Einladen kann man direkt am Haus parken, zum Abstellen für längere Zeit haben wir den kostenlosen Parkplatz am Ortseingang genutzt. Der ist in ca. 12 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Wer viele Ausflüge unternehmen will, sollte das mit einplanen. Alles in allem haben wir eine sehr schöne Zeit in Francks Haus in Etretat verbracht!

Excellente résidence

Cette maison est très bien située à 5mn des falaises ! On y dort très bien car la literie est vraiment excellente. Une boulangerie qui fait de délicieux croissants et pains au chocolat est située à 30m. La cuisine est très complète. Avoir 2 toilettes quand on a une famille nombreuse est un vrai plus. Le propriétaire était très facilement joignable et nous a donné de bons conseils et des bonnes adresses de resto. Je ne peux que recommander cette location.
