The Get-Away @ The Starkey House is a 2 bedroom semi-attached bungalow with a private entrance, hot tub, outdoor shower, bikes, fire pit, gas grill, fenced yard, outdoor games, king memory foam mattresses, well-appointed kitchen, laundry, open concept living/dining/kitchen, & so much more just steps from the Kerrville River Trail, the Guadalupe River & mere blocks from our Historic Downtown filled with coffee shops, cafes, & shopping.

The Get-Away is the front 1/2 of a 1950’s bungalow style home which is divided into two semi-attached private spaces(The Get-Away & The Tuck-Away) in almost a condo style fashion with double walls and soundproofing insulation. Each space feels like it’s own house with totally private entrances, privacy fenced outdoor spaces, and more. No spaces are shared.

Great Stay near the Guad!

We really appreciated having the Get Away for our week-long stay in Kerrville. As former residents of Kerrville the location worked great for us and the beds were really comfortable (thank you for having king beds!!!). Our dogs loved the freedom to get out in the yard and have some space to run around and explore.

Adorable House and Excellent Amenities

We stayed here to celebrate my wife’s 29th birthday and as soon as we opened the door, you could tell it was meticulously maintained. The fresh smell, cleanliness, and coziness were perfect for our group. The hot tub was awesome and we really had a great time.

Locals refer to GJ as Kerrville’s Living Room because of the warmth and hospitality found inside, but we simply strive to be what we call “5-star in Flip Flops”. So come as you are, dress up or dress down, get outside your box to sip something new, and make sure to order the brussel sprouts. Reservations Are Strongly Encouraged.
