First trip with vacasa and sea colony.
We loved the easy booking process and helpful staff at vacasa and sea colony! The beach was clean and not crowded. The choice of pools both indoor and outdoor was great, and the sauna was so relaxing! Our property was very nice and clean. Located with the picturesque lake with fountains out back. The community was respectful, kind and family friendly. Looking forward to stating again.

Great location, but watch out for hidden fees!
Property was nice. Lots of amenities. There is an additional fee for the Sea Colony property that is not made clear in the property description. Based on the time of year, you could be charged an additional $50 per person once you have already booked and paid.

Do not stay here
Broken dishwasher (which for a family with a toddler is awful), broken toaster, washer and dryer were so loud that it was scary and dryer did not dry clothes well, ants in the bedroom, stains (including what looked like blood on the comforter), worn out living room furniture, and could hear every move of the people above us. Literally the worst stay we’ve ever had at Sea Colony (been coming twice a year for 4 years). We reported the broken dishwasher and toaster and they showed up with a new toaster but never sent anyone to fix the dishwasher. Staying on the lake was nice but everything else was such a disaster it was laughable

Sea Colony West
The location of our rental unit was very nice, and we appreciated the tram rides to and from the beach. The apartment was not very clean when we arrived. In fact, there was a huge BM floating in the master bath toilet. The furniture is worn to the point of being uncomfortable. The beds and couch were particularly bad. All that being said, we did appreciate the 2 bed and 2 bath space. We also enjoyed our pond view from the deck. The wooded outside areas were beautifully maintained. We felt as if the community was "campy" and tucked away from tourist traffic, so we enjoyed staying in this community. I would just prefer a cleaner space with updated and comfortable furnishings.

Apartment was nice, but service is beyond awful
The apartment was generally nice but
- I'm not sure we are in the same zip code as the beach
- the cleaning staff doesn't like to put pillow cases on the pillows
- the management company doesn't care to actually send pillow cases when requested, to make up for the cleaning company error
- they insult you and treat you like crap during 10 hours of begging for pillow cases
- the speed bumps at each end of the parking lot for this apartment are about 1 foot high, guaranteeing your car will scrape bottom every time you enter or exit the apartment. They damaged the bumper of my wife’s minivan
- while they have COVID friendly open air trams in the other shuttle route, this route is served only by closed busses because the open air trams can't get over the massive speed bumps
- either the awful water. or the power transformer substation 100 feet from the door, triggered migraines for those who are sensitive
- when you ask for an extra hour from the insanely early check out time, the sadists in customer service Require you to beg for a full day before denying you 1 hour before checkout

Mold, filth and broken furniture
The photos displayed by Vacasa are overly generous and misrepresent the condition of this rental. If you don’t want a moldy, damaged, dirty and broken unit, I recommend contacting Vacasa to make alternative accommodations. Once you arrive there will be little you can do, as we unfortunately experienced ourselves.
The unit has broken furniture (couch w no springs, beds that are unusable, broken toilets, broken vents). The bathroom has black mold. There is a wet spot on the ceiling that has an outline around it indicating that it has been there for some time. Clearly there is water damage behind the walls. In addition the unit was delivered in filthy condition. My husband and I spent hundreds of dollars on an air mattress and cleaning supplies just to make it even remotely tolerable. Not to mention our time.
To make matters worse, Vacasa failed across the board to do anything. (They will probably respond to this to say they came back to clean - they wiped a couple of surfaces and left.) They falsely advertised the unit and left out photos that truly indicate the condition of the unit.
Another recent review identified these issues as well and unfortunately I saw it only too late. I hope you read this and take it seriously ask your week isn’t ruined like ours was!!!

House could use some modernizing
We have been to this house 4 times because we love Swan lake and the back porch setting. The house is furnished in the most basic way. The kitchen has always been under-equipped and has never been improved despite my constant reviews about it. We eat basic breakfasts and lunches and always go out to dinner so it didn't prevent us from returning but it should be upgraded. Also on this most recent trip in March 2022, there were several dead mosquitoes smashed on the walls and ceiling that were just left there; plus we saw more flying around in the house despite it being March.

Nice Place to Be!
Great location at SE edge of Sea Colony West. Condo has all we needed with deck 4 feet from the lake. Unit was clean and comfortable with everything in working order. The king bed is the elevated kind with a more firm than not mattress which may be fine for most but worth noting.

Nice place
The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and pots/pans compared to many rentals so that was great. TV went on the blink but was fixed the next morning. View over the lake is quite nice and its easy to get around. The master bath could use a refurbish or qt least a deep clean (mold like stains on floor and ceiling.) No space to hang clothes in smaller bedroom.. Overall a nice place to stay.

Wonderful retreat
Quiet location with beautiful view of west lake. Clean, comfortable unit, well equipped. Would recommend changing bed covers and lamp shades stained and worn out. Other than that it was fantastic!!

A nice property with a wonderful deck and amazing view of the lake
While the view was spectacular and the deck was amazing, the kitchen in the unit was not stocked properly. We were missing wine glasses, a cutting board and steak/cutting knives. The dishwasher was extremely loud and did not run properly the first time we used it. Resort Quest was very quick to respond to us and to get someone out to fix the dishwasher. Unfortunately, the dishwasher was still too loud. Other than that, the unit was clean an comfortable.
