Very old property but nicely renovated. A bit too pricey for the accommodation. The included breakfast was good. I was forced to book late because my booking in Chester cancelled and left me with little time or choice.
I was told it was due to renovations not complete. Not ideal. I do not think reservations should be accepted if the property is not ready for occupancy.

I booked a room with 2 double beds, but got one King bed. Felt rushed during checkin so didn’t get much feedback and suggestions on things to see or where to eat. Room was subpar in cleanliness. Felt morel like a motel than a quaint bed and breakfast as advertised. Continental breakfast was not my idea of what should be served at a bed and breakfast. Will not return.

Bed and pillows
The mattresses were very uncomfortable could feel the springs inside and the pillows were horrible it was like sleeping with a brick under my head. I would have expected quality mattress and pillows. My daughter and I tossed and turned all night looking for comfort I will never stay there unless those things are upgraded. Very disappointed.
