A very unique place to stay. This "Apartment" is the backside of the host's house. The hosts maintain their property well, and have a lot of cool plants all over the place. The place is gated, and is in an area that feels very safe. The hosts were very friendly, checking us in easily, and provided us privacy during our stay. There were 2 main reasons that I gave the place 4 stars. We picked this particular place for 2 reasons, they advertised that they had a washer, and the pictures showed a stove. Whenever we travel, we show at local grocery stores, and cook a lot of our meals. However, upon checkin, we were told that the washer wasn't working - a mild inconvenience, but it wasn't too big of a deal. Unfortunately, after the first day, the gas stove ran out of gas as well, making the stove unusable. The hosts were kind, and allowed us to cook in their house during the remainder of our stay, but it certainly was quite an inconvenience.Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and I expect them to fix both of those things for future guests.
A beautiful property that is very near the beach with the host being very accommodating with my car rental and bicycle rental for parking and being secure. The location is great to access to beach and the nature parks.
Lovely hosts and a nice neighbourhood. I enjoyed how central you were on the island and how everything was only a short ride away. Would say that you do need a car, but I would argue that you need that anywhere on Aruba.
The apartment itself was nothing fancy but it was clean and had everything one could need. Also I enjoyed the fact that the kitchen was separate from the sleeping area. Also the outdoor area was gorgeous.
All in all, big thumbs up from me and will probably be back at some point!
I’d say the description is pretty accurate-this was a no frills stay and met my needs for 2 nights. Upon arrival the toilet had stuff in it, like dirt and toilet paper. It flushed down after couple of flushes and I informed Astrik. The paperwork in the VRBO binder needs to be updated for current WiFi info-it also didn’t work one evening. Astrik was helpful with where to eat nearby. I did side-swipe the driveway gate as I was pulling in and knocked it off track. She was able to get it back on track but stated it was looser than before. I told her to get a quote and let me know. She got a quote from a “repairman” who wanted to replace a panel that had a fair amount of previous damage that I did not pay for. I don’t know if I caused the looseness or not but could not say I didn’t so I paid for it. However; I tried to have it handled through VRBO, but she refused, telling me that I had to pay through a cash app of some kind. I asked for a written estimate that I never received and against my better judgement paid a third party person (not a company). After following up with VRBO upon my return, I learned that I should not have paid through a cash app and she, as the owner should have handled the damages through VRBO. This was my first international trip and the first time I’ve ever caused damages to property, so I was overwhelmed and wanted to make it right. I can’t say Astrik did this with mal intent, but how it was handled didn’t feel right…and I was right. Lesson learned.

Our experience was very pleasant, and the listing was just what we received. Great location and our host Astrik was very informative and helpful. All amenities were as described, just make sure to rent a car to see all parts of the island!
