Excellent location views of mountains spectacular back yard with deer hanging out and drinking and eating.Host Beverly extremely helpful with places to go ,see, and eat
The house is a sanctuary in the city with great access to Albuquerque’s activities. The hosts are enthusiastic about their knowledge of the area. The home has beautiful views of the city and mountains.
We very much enjoyed our stay at this home and would come again! Beverly, the host, was available for questions and provided great hospitality. She even provided snacks and beverages for us upon arrival and all of the supplies you could ever need while staying in a home.
This was my second time to stay is this beautiful home. Well decorated inside and well supplied with everything one would need for a short or extended stay. Major improvements since my first stay including a renovated master bath and motion activated lights outdoors which help when taking a pet outside at night. By far the nicest home I have stayed in and hope to be coming back for years to come.
This is a beautiful home with everything we needed for a fun and relaxing stay. We took several walks and runs up the arroyo into the mountains right from the back door. Beverly and Phil were great hosts and provided lots of information about things to do and places to see, and made sure we had everything we needed.
Thanks!
We spent wonderful days with family, just spending time in the magnificent foothills of the Sandia's. We cooked in the well-stocked kitchen, had cocktails in front of the fire and enjoyed the wildlife wandering through the backyard (many deer)! Thank you for a wonderful time! We'll be back!
We love Casa Sandia Peak! Beverly is a wonderful host and checked in more than once to see if we needed anything. The view is spectacular! The wildlife is amazing (hummingbirds, deer, quail, road runners). The kitchen had everything we needed for a family dinner and morning coffee in the swing is not to be missed! It’s incredibly quiet and peaceful and still close to town.
Perfect get-away spot for a couple or small family
Our family of 4 (kids ages 13 and 10) stayed for a week and enjoyed every minute. The view from the house of the Sandia mountains is fantastic. The amenities of the house were exactly as described. The house was beautifully decorated with local furnishings and art. The owners were extremely responsive and happy to provide recommendations. I will be recommending this house to any friends planning to visit Albequerque. Thanks again for sharing your house with us!
Perfect location with daily visits from mule deer, roadrunners, coyote. Unhindered views of the beautiful Sandias. Very comfortable beds. Well-stocked kitchen and bathrooms. The hosts, Bev and Phil, could not have been nicer - met us with fresh guacamole and margaritas, all the info we needed. Answered our phone calls quickly. A perfect experience for us.

Spring Break - Family of 4
This house is beautiful, well-equipped, comfortable and convenient to so many sites in and around ABQ. The view of the mountains is spectacular. In addition to the wonderful accommodations, the owners went above and beyond to make our vacation truly special. They thought of everything! Our family has rented vacation homes in many locations over the years and have had good experiences. However, we never received the incredible treatment we received here. We could not have been more pleased!
We were greeted upon arrival by our awesome hosts, Beverly & Phil, with delicious snacks, jalapeño margaritas and other local goodies. Beverly showed us how things work in the house as well as area information and recommendations.
Casa Sandia Peak is a comfortable home with all the amenities and breath taking views. The location on the arroyo is quiet and private. There are plenty of places to walk right out the back or front door, perfect if your dog has accompanied you.
We felt so at home here it was hard to leave. We definitely plan to come back to this wonderful place!
What an amazing property! We’ve stayed in VRBO properties for years, in several countries. So comfortable - beds were awesome, great livability. Everything we could want, from kitchen utensils to TV’s to local restaurant menus to sightseeing recommendations. Wildlife in the backyard and fabulous bird watching. AND our cat was welcome! Hosts were extremely responsive - usually within 15 mins.If we go back to Albuquerque we will for sure try to book this property!
First of all, the hosts were the best we've experienced in all of our VRBO stays. We were met upon arrival and shown all the ins and outs of the property. The home was very well stocked with the necessities; coffee, tp, paper towels, etc plus a sampling of local treats. Very generous. There were more than enough reading materials to acquaint a visitor to both Albuquerque and New Mexico overall. We found many things to entertain us that we wouldn't have known about otherwise. The hosts went well above and beyond to make sure we had a good vacation. Possibly the biggest treat though was the entertainment furnished by all of the animals visiting the back yard. Rabbits arrived early, usually followed by deer, followed by birds. We had as many as 15 deer in the yard at once and they visited every day. Special sightings were a Coopers Hawk, who scared everything else away, but sat in a tree for 90 minutes. It must have been napping. On Thanksgiving morning, a lynx, I guess locally called a bobcat came and sat at the edge of the deck for a bit. Roadrunners and quails passed through every few days.
Casa Sandia Peak comes with our highest recommendation, and we wouldn't hesitate to spend our next visit to Albuquerque there.
We had a wonderful stay. Beverly is the certainly the “host with the most!” The home alone is perfectly situated for an outstanding experience. The view is beautiful and encourages relaxation time outdoors. The rooms were very comfortable and the whole house is very livable. Beverly added to this by having great drinks pre-made for our arrival plus chips and homemade guacamole! Thanks for a great trip!
This is our second time to stay at the Abshere's VRBO in Albuquerque and it was great both times. I can't say enough good things about this home and the hosts. The home is in a great location: close to hike/bike paths, grocery stores (Albertson's and Smiths), restaurants, the Balloon Fiesta and other attractions. The home itself is nicely furnished and decorated, is well equipped and has amazing views of Sandia Peak and the tramway. We enjoyed the daily visits from the mule deer and birds in the back yard. Beverly is also a fantastic hostess; she makes you feel at home and has many great suggestions on things to do and places to see. We've also stayed at their VRBO in Palo Duro Canyon, which I highly recommend, too. Their VRBOs are exceptional and I've yet to stay in another VRBO that measures up to this. HIGHLY recommend!!
The property has an excellent view of the Sandia mountains. My companions and I spent many hours sitting in the backyard, mesmerized by the view and the wildlife.. The property has everything you could need and was located near the Tram, trails, stores, and yoga!
Extremely clean, well equipped beautiful property with endless unobstructed views! Private, quiet, great centrally located home to anything you might need!! The owners were extremely helpful, and very accessible for any questions! Wouldn’t stay anywhere else when we return to Albuquerque!!
Wonderful hosts! Beautiful location! Well equipped home! Comfortable and convenient! We really enjoyed our 9 day stay, and appreciate the great communication with Beverly. We had everything we could have possibly needed plus more. We will definitely be back to Albuquerque to visit relatives, and hope this home will be available when we come back. Thanks so much for a fantastic stay!
This property exceeded our expectations. The view of Sandia Peak is beautiful . . .watching the tram travel up and down, the pink hues at sunset and sipping coffee in the cool morning air awaiting the sunrise over the mointain . . .spectacular. And the wildlife visitors---deer, bunnies, quails, birds----mesmerizing. Beverly was a fabulous hostess and the home very comfortable. I even managed to read a Tony Hillerman book I hadn't yet read from the home's extensive library.
My wife and I travel often and always rent homes. This is one of the best houses/hosts we have ever had. The house was well furnished and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The views are magnificent. And Beverly and Philip were so gracious and accommodating, they bent over backwards to make sure we were happy. We visit Albuquerque regularly and from now on we will plan our visits around their availability. Wish we could give more than 5 stars.
We absolutely loved the home . Such beautiful surroundings and everything you could possibly need was available at the house . The hostess was there to greet us when we arrived and brought us delicious snacks !!
Hard to express in words the beautiful mountain views from the large window in this house! Incredible hiking right out the back door! We stayed for a month during the Christmas holidays and had a wonderful time. Philip and Beverly’s house is supplied with all the cooking equipment needed for a large holiday meal! Very comfortable beds and a warm, cozy feel to the home due to the dual fireplace and Christmas decor. We appreciate both of them for being amazing hosts and hope to stay again!
