Our happy place - Spectacular views and wildlife!

You'll love this property for all it has to offer! This is a beautiful and spacious 2 BR/1Ba loft with great views of the lake directly across the street. The guest residence is decorated in a rustic adirondack style, with a spacious living room, kitchen and 2 decks overlooking the lake, and plenty of parking. Enjoy a BBQ dinner and spectacular views from your private deck after a day of fun in the sun! Comfy queen sized beds in bedrooms. Master bedroom has cooling mattress, so you'll sleep like a baby! You'll love the stunning views of the lake and mountains as well as lakeside activities including swimming, boating, kayaking and hiking. Plenty of room for privacy on the 500+ foot lakefront. There are fire pits at the Guest House and at the lake. There are also 4 kayaks, a canoe, a john boat, lots of life vests and floats available for guest use. Town park and boat launch is conveniently located only 1/4 mile away. During the summer months we enjoy daily wildlife visitors such as deer, and turkeys. There are several local restaurants, wineries, breweries and shops around the lake, and it is only a 45 minute drive or less to Lake George, Great Escape Amusement and Water Park, Saratoga Race Track and Casinos, Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Animal Land Zoo, tubing, horseback riding, rodeo adventures as well as many other fun attractions. Note: Owners live in a separate residence on this 7.5 acre parcel. There is plenty of room for privacy.

Lovely property in gorgeous area

Our cabin in the gorgeous Adirondacks was very charming. The property and scenery is beautiful. Our host provided for every need/want. We enjoyed our stay as we were comfortable and cozy. It is centrally located to a variety of places to visit/ things to do. Our host communicated that if we required anything to just ask. Great visit!

Kim and her husband were such wonderful hosts. The cabin was more wonderful than the pictures convey. It was so clean the beds were very comfortable and there was sooo much seating in the living room. If we needed anything Kim and her husband attended to it right away. They blew up the water trampoline for us. We had easy access to their kayaks and life vests. The lake front was beautiful with plenty of chairs. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we will definitely stay again.

Wonderful and Relaxing Stay

My son and I loved this property for our week-long fishing vacation. Such a quaint/ peaceful/ clean/ well equipped space. Hosts Kim and Henry couldn't have been any nicer and accommodating during our stay. We felt very much at home with full use of the dock/waterfront area for swimming/ fishing/ paddling/ boating ... and more fishing!Great Sacandaga Lake is great for fishing/boating with lots to offer within 15-20 minutes - yet more low-key than other big lakes nearby. Thank you Kim & Henry for putting the water trampoline in early (on a very windy day) for my son to enjoy! Looking forward to our next visit!

Lake getaway

This location was perfect for a family of 4-6. There is a dock to keep your boat in the water during your stay with a state boat launch 1/2 mile from the house! You get your exercise walking to and from the dock! Very peaceful lake getaway! Would and probably will book again

Absolutely beautiful lake/dock/beach area with water trampoline and canoe along with floats! Great location about 30 minutes from great activities at Lake Luzerne! The house was perfect with A/C and fully stocked kitchen with Keureg! Kim was an absolutely wonderful hostess!!! We will absolutely stay again!!!

Relaxed lakeside stay

Kim and Henry are great friendly hosts and have an amazing lakeside cabin. We chilled out all week with deer and wild Turkey wandering past and enjoyed the lake access every day The property is well equipped with more than enough towels and a cupboard full of cooking and kitchen equipment. More than enough crockery and cutlery for everyone. Both beds are comfortable, quiet and the AC units work well in high summer temperatures I’d love to stay again if we’re back in the Adirondacks

Beautiful

The home was cozy, warm and lovely, still had that new house smell. The surrounding area was peaceful and the lake was clean and warm. We drive to Bolton’s Landing and had the best time on a boat tour. Lake George beach was also loads of fun. Both less than hour away from the home. All and all we had a wonderful time!

Great Weekend Getaway

We had a fantastic weekend here! The house was exactly as described and the perfect size for our group (4 adults + 1 toddler). The living space was very comfortable and we loved having meals on the deck. The kitchen had anything we could think to need. The walk to the lake was steep, but totally manageable and the lake was beautiful. The host was incredibly responsive and accommodating, going above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed, while still being very respectful of our space. We had a great time and would definitely stay again.

Wonderfull Week

My family has been coming up to this lake renting in different areas over the years. We loved this cabin/location because it was up the river closer to my fathers place. The Water access was great for the kids with a Trampoline just a short swim out. Both my 9 year old and 7 year old played on that for hours. The Dock was deep enough for a boat to come in and pick us up.

The cabin is awsome ,room for all,kitchen was really great,nice layout and easily to get around for cooking.. The owners are so nice ,. Never bothered us ,only saw them when we needed them ..Both very pleasant people.. the deck was very private and beautiful to sit on .Very nice public boat launch is only 2 minutes down the road ,,Really nice boat launch i might add.. To get to the water was tough ,as i have 2 bad knees ,but im 60 and managed to do it ...its a steap walk,but they have driveway down to water. We had a great time . Definitely want to go back . Just a few days to fish with a friend. Looked for a VRBO that was lakefront with a dock on Sacandaga Lake. Host advised they had a dock, but failed to reveal it was about 500 yards down the hill from the house. The day before, they advised lake level too low to use dock. Had trailer boat each day to ramp 1/4 mile away. If dock was open, would be 500 yard climb uphill. This is a beautiful property, but not really suited for fishing. The Szazy’s are both very friendly and helpful. but mot really suitable for a

Great Adirondack Experience

Great modernized Cabin. Clean, all kitchen items on the new side - pots/pans, plates... Plenty of closet space in the bedrooms but no dressers other then nightstand with drawers but closets more then enough to hang clothes and for storage. All indoor and outdoor furnishings very comfortable, has a nice but smaller deck with new grill. Two bedrooms and two couches in the living room so more then 5 gets crowded. Owners super nice, gracious and happy to answer any and all questions. Great dock but the issue we had was trip to the dock was a bit of a walk - but not bad - it was the grade of the landscape to get there that was. We have some older relatives visit and its not conducive to having them walk to it so we didn't entertain much at the lake. There seemed to be the ability to drive there and park but we didn't. Also the lake was very high this year so it eliminated some of the beach front which is not normal. Overall we loved the housed and owners. It does sit above a garage but we didn't care as it was such a nice place inside. Highly recommend for a young family looking for a wonderful getaway on a perfect lake.

The over garage loft itself is quite nice and very well maintained. The owner is extremely nice and helpful but there is little privacy as it is quite close to the owner's home . There really was no fire pit, and the access to the beach, which is shared, not private is down the long driveway, across and up the road and then back down to an area designated for the property. Did not meet expectations

The cabin itself had everything you need and plenty of space for a family. We traveled with our two little kids (a 4 year old and a 16 month old expecting a sandy beach near but the location of this cabin was on a rocky side of the lake with no access for comfortable place for kids to swim. We found a spot with in a 5 minute drive with less rocks but it was too muddy and cannot call it a beach by any means . We ended up driving 40 min each way to Lake George every day so our kids can enjoy swimming during these hot days and made the best of it. The area is remote so dont expect a ton of activities around. Depending on your needs and interests this cabin can work for you, unfortunately it was not what we were hoping for.

My husband and I bought this beautiful property on the lake for our personal home in 2020. We live in a log cabin on this 7 1/2 acre property and are willing to rent out the guest house so that others can also enjoy our happy place! The first thing we hear every time we show the guest house is "Wow!". It really is a nice place to stay and we think you're going to love it as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

We love it here and are thrilled to join the Great Sacandaga Lake community, which aptly refers to our lakeside living community as "Our Happy Place". There is so much to do in all seasons on this 29 mile lake nestled in the Adirondack mountains ... there is something for everyone!

What makes this property unique

I love, love, love spending a relaxing day at the lake! We are very blessed to have over 500' lake rights directly across the street, offering lots of privacy.
