Greer River's Edge Cottage 2 bed- 1 bath- sleeps 4 - Fireplace

Greer River's Edge Cottage is a perfect cozy getaway! Featuring a spacious kitchen with dining area and a cozy living room with a gas fireplace. 2 bedrooms with queen beds in each room and a bathroom with a tub/shower. We have wireless internet, and dish TV. Comfy rockers on the porch and a BBQ grill for your convenience! A short walk to the river. Great location in Greer at the end of the village we are between Greer Lodge and the Red Setter! One Mile walk or drive to the Famous Molly Butler Lodge Restaurant and Rendezvous Diner! Both have amazing food and friendly service! Come stay awhile and relax! Parking for 2 vehicles in front of the cottage. Additional parking on the side of the property however we can not accommodate RV's or large campers.


We have four exterior security cameras on the property for security. One is located on the cabin front porch in plain view. One is located on the rear cabin porch by the back door that leads to the living room/game area. The third security camera is on the exterior of the attached cottage in the front in plain view. The 4th is in the corner of the backyard attached to a tree. Photos of the cameras are in the property photos. We do not have any interior cameras.

Greer is a small, beautiful town in the White Mountains. It lies at an elevation of approximately 8,300 feet (2,500 m) and is surrounded by the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. Greer Lakes is a fishing and scenic destination one mile north of Greer off FS 87B made up of three lakes: Bunch Reservoir, Tunnel Reservoir, and River Reservoir. There are paths in and around the lakes that would appeal to day hikers, photographers, and mountain bikers. There are many other amazing lakes around the area such as Big Lake, Sunrise Lake and A1 Lake. While Greer is a four hour drive from Phoenix and a four-and-a-half hour drive from Tucson, it remains one of the most popular summer vacation destinations in Arizona, as it is consistently 20-30 degrees cooler than the deserts.

We are located 20 miles (approximately 30 minute drive) from some of the best skiing in Arizona- Sunrise Ski Resort! Sunrise also has ski bikes- check them out if you haven't seen them- and a tubing hill with pulley to get you back to the top! They have plenty of Spring, Summer and Fall events and activities as well- check their site for info!

A perfect area to get away for some peace and quiet or to go out and hike and adventure. ATV/OHV trails in the area. Amazing fishing. A photographer and nature watcher's dream! Come explore and fall in love with Greer, AZ in all 4 seasons!

(Please note- You can not access the river from behind our cabin/cottage. To access the river- it is a short walk down Main St where you can enjoy it for miles and miles. From the property you can enjoy the sight and sound of it.

The side yard and back yard are shared space between the cabin and cottage. For total privacy book both units- contact me for more details. Fire pit in season -Spring, Summer and Fall- is a shared amenity and not available in Winter which we determine as first snowfall mid to late October)

Melinda was an excellent host. Her home was cozy, she had all the cookware we needed and the flavored coffee creamers were a great touch. Wonderful location with lots to do. I enjoyed the rocking chairs on the porch. Was a very relaxing weekend.

Perfect cabin-in-the-woods get away.

Immaculately clean, comfortable and cozy. I have stayed in many vacation rentals and this was by far one of the best. The attention to detail and what travelers might need (or have forgotten) was amazing. It had the special touches you often find in nice hotels (coffee and filters, snacks on arrival, personal care items in the bathroom), with the privacy and space of a vaction home. We stayed in winter so it was pretty cold but the heaters were efficient and kept us warm. Extra blankets were on hand if needed. I loved the ambiance and convenience of the gas fueled fireplace, with real flame and heat. And the small wall heater in the bathrrom was perfect for after a shower.The property is RIGHT on the river/creek and has a beautiful backyard space. It is close to the heart of Greer. The hostess, Melinda, had a binder with menus of nearby restaurants and highlights of local hiking trails. The property itself is on a quiet corner. It shares a wall with the main house but that was not occupied at the time of our stay.Check in and check out was simple and efficient. Melinda was very responsive to any questions. The cottage also had books, card games, and board games available. Great wifi for our phones so we could stay connected to our kids, but we never turned on the tv.We are already talking about the next time we might want to rent the cottage. Seriously, can't say enough good things.Thank you!

Cozy Cabin in Greer

This cabin is absolutely beautiful and cozy. It matches the cute little town it’s in. I had the most enjoyable stay on a long weekend. It snowed during my stay and the cabin was warm and well equipped. The kitchen has all the items you need to be able to cook your own meals. The owner is so helpful and kind. She answered all my questions before my stay so I was able to pack correctly. Will definitely visit again.

Cozy cabin by the creek

My husband and I went to Greer to enjoy a few days in the snow. We weren’t disappointed! The cabin has an easy to use gas fireplace, perfect for the cold evenings and even colder mornings. The living area was perfect for reading and watching TV. Although the bedrooms are a bit on the small size, the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom is quite spacious and has a wall heater. This place has everything you would need to relax and enjoy the quaint little town of Greer.

Why they chose this property

We love being able to sit out back and listen to the peaceful sound of the river. It's close to hiking trails and close to the village yet sits on a more private lot. Having the Cabin and the Cottage on one lot was perfect for our family to all enjoy time in Greer and have some separation of space if we wanted to. We loved the versatility of being able to rent either just the cabin, just the cottage or both of them together! Greer has won our hearts of our expanding family!
