Clean and neat, easy place to stay! Received a nice message from host to explain property details. Not a lot of items in kitchen to help with cooking and in a rough part of town, but otherwise it was all that was needed and stay was great!

The home was very clean and comfortable and exactly as advertised. Our host was welcoming and easy to communicate with. Would definitely rent there again.

Clean house everything in work condition coffe always available for mornings next time will be even better if add pouches coffe and then breakfast gets perfect
This property is excellent for what it is. It's clean, comfortable, and close to downtown, which was perfect for us! We were able to bring our dog, and there were enough queen beds for the family. It's not a place where you'd host Thanksgiving (the kitchen is fine but small), but for a convenient, comfortable stay, this is a good choice! We enjoyed our weekend in this cute house.
The property met our needs and accomodated our dog traveling with us. House is very clean, neighborhood was noisier than we are use to but we are not city people! We would stay here again.
We ran into a couple of snags when arriving at the property, but Mark was very attentive and helpful to get any issues that popped up resolved. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your property! We enjoyed our stay!

Jamie and her group were excellent guests who took a shower curtain rod and drain issue totally in stride and left the place in wonderful shape despite the challenges I had over the week they stayed. Managing the unexpected with guests like them make it all worth it even when things don't go as planned. Appreciate you staying Jamie:)
We needed a place downtown and our location fit the bill. Very clean and a great space for everyone. The owner was wonderful to work with. We had a great 6 days with ample parking and room for everyone to hang out.

Thanks for staying Heather and being such a great guest:)
There was a problem with the house we were going to stay at and the property owner gave us two other houses to stay. He was very nice and helpful. The houses were very clean. We enjoyed our stay.
The house was clean and fully stocked although we didn’t do any cooking during our stay. The location was convenient however, it sits right on the main road and was VERY loud. Two of the 3 beds were definitely too hard. The stair to the 2nd floor and the basement are not for anyone who’s not agile. They’re very steep and narrow. The water pressure in the showers was fantastic and much needed at the end of each day!
We rented this house for my husband and 2 of his coworkers who were working in the area for a few weeks. The house was clean and had everything they needed. Plenty of room and bathrooms for comfort and privacy. Great location and excellent communication with owner Mark.
We would definitely rent from him again if ever in the area.
My best friend from college and I recently stayed at this Vrbo and overall we had a great time! The house was clean, comfortable, and moderately stocked with the essentials-perfect for a low-maintenance stay. The modern touches and thoughtful layout made it easy to relax and reconnect for old friends. The location was definitely convenient, however, future guests should know that the property sits on a very busy street, and that the surrounding neighborhood felt a little rough around the edges. It is probably not the best fit for families with young children or traveling with pets. That said, we felt safe during our stay and appreciated the easy access to everything we wanted to do. It was a great home base for reconnecting or catching a Hawkeyes game!

Things you should know ahead of time
It would have been nice to know when we booked that a family was renting the house and was living there and would be gone the days we were there.

I am so sorry Gwen. Group had stayed a couple weeks before and their supervisor said they left but when cleaning staff got in they had belongings in the house so we stored them away. I will make sure to change our procedures to remove everything in the house and be clear with future guests this is not allowed. Feel free to contact me for refund on your stay as I do not expect guests to stay in a house with other guests belongings. I will do better next time.

Interesting
Coming from rural Minnesota, Cedar Rapids was an interesting city for us. We planned to spend the day at Amana Colonies but decided the crowds would be too much work so spent the day checking out Cedar Rapids riding the scooters and eating Bohemian food. We had a pleasant time. House is located in a bit of a questionable area but close to town.

Clean home
The home was very clean and provided everything we needed (plenty of towels, cookware, etc). The weather was very hot and the extra fans provided were very helpful, especially upstairs. The only negative was the neighborhood. It was not clear in the listing of where the home was located so we couldn’t research before our stay. The children with us didn’t feel safe being outside alone. However, to be clear there were no instances of interactions with any of the individuals loitering in the area. Overall the home itself was as shown in the pictures.
Good size property for a group of six-ten people. Unfortunately the check in was delayed due to previous guests. Cleaning staff very friendly and accommodating due to delay. Great location, family dollar, gas station, and liquor store within walking distance. Did not get much sleep at all, due to liquor store across the street alarm going off at 5am-8am each morning. This would be the only reason for not staying again. Recently the local homeless shelter was closed down, so there are homeless people hanging around and walking up and down the street.
This old house was a great stay! Very close to the downtown area where my daughter was playing in a volleyball tournament. The house was clean and the 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms were great for having family (Aunts/Grandparents/siblings) stay with us during the 4 day tournament. We made breakfast daily in the stocked kitchen and sat around the nice dining room table to spend time together. We watched a movie together on the living rooms comfy couches. The beds were very comfortable (MUCH better than a hotel mattress) and the mattresses were the right balance of support and softness. I was initially worried about the neighborhood but it was fine, no issues. The house is directly on the busy road that goes into the downtown area so it was fast and easy to get to where we needed. There was enough parking on the property by the garage for 3 cars and more on the street if we would’ve needed it. The heat didn’t kick in one morning and Mark was at the house within 10 minutes to figure out what was going on (the thermostat needed a new battery) and we were back in business! He was kind and nice and we enjoyed meeting him and chatting with him. We did laundry while there, the washer and dryer were in the basement and worked great. Bathroom showers had nice water pressure and the bathrooms were updated and nice. It’s an old house with character, which I loved. It reminded me of my Grandma’s house with creaky floors, but it was solid and warm and cozy. We would stay here again :)
