We had a fantastic stay. The house was in a perfect location. Close enough to the towns but in a quiet area. The house was very inviting and very comfortable. We really enjoyed the porches, the cliff and the pebble beach. Our vacation was everything we hoped it would be!
We’ve been staying in Maine for the past 20 years. This house rates among the best. Ocean view, private pebble beach, centrally located, very well maintained. Excellent host, good communication, and comfortable furnishings. If you stay here you will not be disappointed
Gorgeous views in a peaceful setting, clean and spacious house with all the modern conveniences. Would love to return again with our family sometime. Thank you! Also, the town and local beaches were fun and convenient and beautiful! Only recommendation: a quick email reminder about bringing towels and linens would've been appreciated.
Great property. I took a short walk every morning and saw a family of deer each day. Nice view from the cliffs and we enjoyed the pebble beach. Very peaceful and plenty of room in the house. I would highly recommend for groups of six. You could fit eight but it might be a little tight. Everything was exact as we expected. We give it a 5 out of 5 stars
Large home on a cliff over the ocean, private and peaceful
My family and I had a great stay on the Maine coast. The house had everything we needed with large rooms and in a good location for a quick drive to Perkins Cove and Ogunquit town, but we also found it to be a good location for day trips to Portland, Kennebunkport and Portsmouth. Beds were comfortable, kitchen appliances, etc. met our needs and the house was adequately stocked with bath towels and dish towels for our family of four. Check in and check out we’re easy and the property manager was available for questions and reached out via email to make sure we settled in alright. That was a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again next time we visit Maine.
The views from this property are extraordinary. Waking up in the morning in the master bedroom and looking out over the ocean - unparalleled luxury! The beds throughout were very comfortable (if a little high off the ground - heads up to shorties like myself!), the house well appointed and the kitchen had everything. Due to the weather, we were largely unable to take advantage of the pebble beach which was difficult to access due to muddy path - certainly nothing that was in the owner's control! My one note for future renters - the property is secluded on a private road, which is lovely and quiet. If however you hope to walk to Perkins Cove or to the Marginal Way, the private road exits directly onto Shore Road and there is no shoulder or sidewalks. Therefore, walking anywhere is a bit of a risky proposition.
Even calling this home unconditionally amazing is a huge understatement. While it was far larger than my wife and I needed for just the two of us it was still perfect.
Waking top in the morning and sitting on the master bedroom balcony to watch the sunrise or sunset was spectacular.
The master bedroom and bath are beautifully appointed. The house is fully furnished as if the owner lived there full time. The second and third bedrooms were the same.
Kitchen fully stocked.
While houses are next door. the property is completely secluded.
The lobsterman (neighbor) sold us lobsters fresh off his boat and no problem steaming them with the well appointed kitchen. The house was spotless. Walking distance to restaurants and shops (1-2 miles). Private beach 5 minutes away.
This was the best week of our year!!
This is a lovely home set back from the main road in a small grouping of other houses. Nicely landscaped with a small path in the backyard ending at a bluff, right at the ocean's edge.It is a great place to watch and hear the tide roll in as well as the wonderful sunrises. Beware there is poison ivy in the bushes edging the path, as well as some that crept into the path.
Inside the house is light and airy. Well maintained. If you cook, it is a full kitchen with nice to have gadgets and accessories. Three bedrooms on the 2nd floor, including a large, high ceiling primary bedroom with king bed (high off the floor, and a bit difficult to get into if you are smaller), a two-person comfy chair with ottoman, and a large five piece bathroom with jetted tub. In my opinion, the best part was the balcony off this room providing a view of the ocean, great airflow, and our weather was perfect for sleeping with the balcony door open, listening to the waves and and taking in the breeze.
There is a covered deck on the main level, also lovely to sit upon. Large table with seating for 8, comfy couches for relaxing. Everything we needed was there.
It is such a lovely location. Pruning the trees and bushes leading to the ocean would enhance the views from the 2nd fl balcony & provide 1st fl views.
I only marked down the location, as the main road from the house is narrow, curvy, no sidewalks nor shoulders, make it a tad treacherous to walk to town.
Our host is a fantastic communicator!
This is probably a relatively new rental property.
Overall the location is great, close to Perkin's Cove and Ogunquit beach, near to a pretty rock cove where we swam in full wetsuits. The house is large and has lots of nice features and lots of closet space. At present the few items that make this less than a 5 star rating can be fixed:
1) The master bedroom windows face due east, and hence the summer sun shines right into your eyes VERY bright between 4 and 5 am. Would be nice to have dark curtains to ameliorate the awakening. Until then, bring really good eye shields.
2) The demands on the renter are too great for the high price of the rental. Not providing linens meant a lot of pre-arrival arrangements, not enough towels, and everyone having to make their beds, unmake their beds, and be sure that the appropriate linens were re-sorted to the laundry. While the service was efficient - the demands were too high.
3) The couches, and chairs in the living room seating areas were all too soft and rather uncomfortable. The basement chairs were better, but too heavy to bring upstairs.
4) There are no tables that are suitable for group eating outdoors. It sure would be lovely to have that option. Small folding collapsible tables are provided, but it would be nice to have a way to set up a dining situation outside.
5) The cliff is treacherous and you are warned not to walk along it, however, a bit more trimming of the trail would make it possible to enjoy the view (which is not visible from the house, except in the master bedroom due to the surrounding trees). Trimming back a deep V in the canopy of trees would greatly enhance the view and ambience.
6) The grill was collapsing and needs replacement.
7) The upper deck needs some form of shade -- it is the largest outdoor seating, and also the only place for a view.
8) Only a few cooking supplies (tea, coffee, salt, pepper, paprika, onion salt, and olive oil). No medium sauce pans. Limited paper products; many plastic lids few bottoms.
9) The refrigerator needs replacement or repair. It is loud and one shelf is broken. If replaced, suggest design without the flap that can accidentally keep the door open.
10) The washer-dryer are good -- odd, however, that guests must sort and wash towels that belong to the owners separately from those that are delivered at pretty high cost from the linen company.
All in all, this could be made into a splendid location.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the location and the house, and I'm sorry there were aspects that disappointed you. I will look into the issues you mentioned!
This property has amazing views of the ocean. We spent our time on the decks listening to the sounds of the waves. It is a beautiful property and provided a beautiful stay for ourselves and our teenage/adult children. If you are looking for a relaxing and beautiful stay by the ocean I highly recommend this property.
Three generations for a week at this lovely, spacious, oceanfront home. Grandchildren loved having their own game room on the lower level. All rooms spacious and nicely furnished. Balconies large enough to enjoy a family meal. Perfect location for visiting Ogunquit to the north and York Beach to the south. Secluded pathway to the oceanfront where our best times were spent enjoying tides, ledges, sailboat watching,
Great house with great views and plenty of room . Only issue I had was that the master bath shower was dated . An outdoor shower could be added as well .

I'm trying not to let the cloudy and/or rainy weather affect my impression. The cleaning company not coming and saying that there was a beach which really was a stretch would be the only negatives. The house and facilities were fine and it was a very nice location.
Very nice house with lots of equipment-for the beach and in the house.kitchen etc.)
Beds were very comfortable and perfect location to Ogunquit and York.
Owner was very helpful and treated us with a bottle of wine! ( This is rare!)
Perfect house to rent and I have been renting houses in Maine for over 30 years!
