4BR 3BA Waterfront Slice of Heaven! Luxury, hot tub, sunsets, fishing.

Located on the Pamlico Sound with breathtaking views, Slice of Heaven is constructed home (2021) with luxury furnishings, perfect for your family's beach vacation. With expansive decks overlooking the harbor, enjoy beautiful sunsets and front-row views of the kite boards, stand-up paddle boards, wind surfers, and boats that dot the sound, or just experience the starry night sky and the calm of the salt marshes.

The top floor features the living and dining area and large, well-appointed kitchen with plenty of seating, including a dining table, eating nook and breakfast bar. Access a wet bar from the large screen porch with picnic table off the kitchen. The top floor also has a a sound front king master bedroom with private bathroom, plus a separate powder room. Custom woodwork accentuates the walls, and sliding doors lead to the huge top deck with seating overlooking the harbor.

The lower floor has a game room with shuffleboard, a large television and mini-fridge, full sleeper sofa, and sliding doors that access the lower deck and hot tub. Another king master bedroom suite with private bathroom is located on the lower floor. A private queen bedroom, plus a bunk room with twin over twin and full over queen bunks share another full bathroom. All bedrooms are equipped with smart televisions. A large laundry room is also located downstairs.

Under the house, take advantage of the outdoor shower, hammock, and plenty of storage room for your gear. Enjoy all the amenities of Black Dog Harbor, a small private community, including boat slips, a boat ramp, fishing pier, gazebo and basketball hoop.

Since the island is so narrow, the beach is only a quarter mile away, a short walk or bike ride, or pack your car with chairs and a cooler and park at any of the public beach access areas.

Had a great time!

The house is very nice and was very clean when we got there. The location on the harbor was great and the walk to the beach was on the longer side, but not bad at all. Our group loved the harbor amenities and the sunset views. Overall a great experience and I’d happily book again!

Truly a a slice of heaven!

We had a wonderful stay at A Slice of Heaven this month! The house and decor are absolutely beautiful! And the sunset views are among the best I’ve ever seen! The spacious hot tub was the perfect place to relax every evening. Everything about this property was top notch — highly recommend.

Wonderful place to stay

Slice of Heaven is beautiful! Everything was exactly as described. The beds were comfortable and inviting. Our teen boys enjoyed the shuffle board, fishing from the peir, and lounging in the hot tub. We drove to the beach, which was just a few minutes away. The beach was gorgeous and not too crowded. Overall, it was a perfect vacation!

Great place to get away

We had 9 people in our party, plenty of room for everybody. Great location with a great view from either balcony. Short and easy walk to the beach. Great communication with the property manager any and all questions were answered in a timely manner. We used Instacart for our grocery shopping, other than there’s a little local grocery store, which doesn’t have a lot, but enough to get you by in a pinch. Nice and quiet area, would definitely book again.

A luxurious beach house

This is a truly beautiful home, the owners took great care to design and decorate a home that feels like home away from home. The location is breathtaking with multiple decks to watch the sunset and kiteboarders and kite surfers in the sound. The community dock and free kayaks are an amazing addition to the home amenities. The kitchen is stocked with everything you would need to cook and bake. We will definitely be back to this unique, friendly, laidback neighborhood.

Sound beach house

Beautiful, very clean house. Even though the listing says the beach is 1/4 mile away, you will need to get in your car (too much to carry all your beach stuff.) Lots of nice beach access points south of the property. Having a 5pm check in time and a 9am check out time is tough. Bring bug spray and appropriate attire, area can be buggy!

Felt like a Slice of Heaven

We absolutely loved our stay at Slice of Heaven. We had a large group consisting of 7 kids ranging from ages 3 to 16 and 5 adults. There was sufficient space for all and the main level layout was perfect for meals and game nights. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was a nice treat and the view from this house could not be beat! The kids enjoyed fishing from the dock and the neighborhood basketball goal and corn hole set. We did walk to the beach on the first day just to get a lay of the land, but drove every other time because of all of the items needed to support such a large group at the beach. It was a super easy drive and we never had a problem with parking. Nags Head was close enough to experience by a short 45 minute drive and far enough that we felt the serenity of being in a less populated area. We cannot wait for our next OBX trip!

Great view inside and out.

While the house can accommodate larger groups we found it perfect for the two of us. Other than the laundry, we didn’t use the lower level. The upper level, which contains the master suite, kitchen/living area, screen porch and sliders onto the deck was spacious (while still feeling cozy). The house was well appointed and nicely decorated in an understated beachy kind of way. The view of the sound was almost as good from the inside as it was from the deck. If you’re a couple looking for a house on Hatteras don’t be intimidated by the capacity of the place. We found it a good fit.

Remote getaway for the entire family

Property was exactly as described in the listing. Seems fairly new and was the cleanest house we’ve rented. Had some issues that were addressed very quickly by the owners. The Salvo area is a bit more remote than the main part of the Outerbanks, so if you looking to get away from crowds, this is a perfect fit. Not a lot of restaurant or activities that are not water activities, although I’m assuming that’s why you are going to the Outerbanks and not Myrtle Beach. Beach is walkable even though we chose to drive there due to large family and tons of beach and fishing gear. We fished a lot both behind the property and at the beach. Lots of small fish like spot, pinfish, juvenile red drum, croaker, whiting. Awesome views from back porch at sunset and sunrise. We also tried kayaking but it was very windy on the days we tried so was not easy to get around but on less windy days, kayaking would have been fun. Tons of nearby places to rent kayaks and paddle boards. Overall a nice place to rent if you just want to hang around the house and go to the beach.

Slice of Heaven is accurate!

I have stayed at many VRBOs and this is one of the most wonderful homes I’ve stayed in and would definitely go back!! The location is quiet and a cute little beach town with plenty of great restaurants and actives. We loved the convenience of driving on the beach (1st beach ramp just down the road) and coming back to a relaxing hot tub with gorgeous sunset views!! It was the best way to end each day!! The house had everything we needed, and the rooms and bathrooms were the perfect size. We loved the big decks and the screened in porch off the kitchen. We also couldn’t believe the house/neighborhood came with the use of free kayaks with life jackets, a boat slip, a gazebo on the sound, and a neighborhood basketball hoop….kids/teens loved it!!! Thanks for opening up your beautiful home. You truly have a Slice of Heaven and we can’t wait to go back!!!

Bigger Than A Slice Of Heaven...Its the whole pie!

Our spring break adventure in Salvo, NC, was nothing short of magical! We embarked on a journey filled with excitement, relaxation, and cherished memories. From the moment we arrived at our beachside abode, we were captivated by every detail of the house and the breathtaking view of the sound. The house was pristine and inviting! One of the highlights of our stay was the convenient proximity of the beach, just a walk(1/2mile) or quick drive with easy parking. The house itself was a haven of comfort and convenience, equipped with everything we could possibly need for an unforgettable vacation. But it wasn't just the activities that made our trip special – it was the simple pleasures of life by the sea. We savored leisurely walks along the shore, exhilarating bike rides, and the thrill of discovering charming dinner spots (Watermans/Lisa's). After an action packed day...those mattresses – absolute heaven! Watching kite surfers dance across the waves with the best sun set you will ever view is like none other. As we bid farewell to our beloved beach house, we did so with hearts full of gratitude and anticipation of the next time. It's clear that the owners poured their heart and soul into creating this special haven, and their love for the place shines through in every detail. We feel incredibly lucky to have made such beautiful memories here, and we're already counting down the days until we can return for another unforgettable getaway. Salvo, NC, you've stolen our heart.

Picture Perfect!

First, I must state this place is gorgeous. Everything is new; Clean comfortable and well situated. We stayed upstairs in the master and our children, and their children were on the floor below. We kayaked, the kids fished and had a wonderful time. I would suggest you bring a lot of towels, there was literally one bath towel per person. We were running the washing machine every day. Also, do a thorough grocery shopping before entering Salvo. There are no major grocery stores nearby. The local stores and their people were great, but they don't have everything. I am not being critical at all we were a group of 11 and didn't go out to eat often. I gave 4 stars for the check in because I didn't get access Infor till, we were almost there. That made me nervous. I always got codes from 2 days to almost a week ahead. I have heard scam stories Other than that I Highly reccommend!

Great Home to Stay in

We were very happy with our stay at this property and would stay again, if we return to this area, and the property is available. This was our first extended family vacation and it was a complete hit. The only thing that I could say negative about our stay, the house was cool during the day and warm at night. I did not bring this to the property owners, but if I would have, I have no doubt they would have looked into it. Thanks for allowing us to stay in this amazingly beautiful home! Thanks, T Sandy

Just needs a few things

This was our second time staying at the property and really enjoyed the stay. It would be really nice if they could make a couple of changes. 1. Have bath towels and washcloths in all the bathrooms. We arrived and had accurately indicated 4 people would be staying (4 adult men) after the first day noticed there were only towels in 2 of the 3 bathrooms. Once we notified the property manager they said that 4 towels were provided (2 towels in 2 bathrooms for a full 7 day stay) Property manager did bring over additional towels, but would think that it would be easier to appropriately stock all the bathrooms. 2. would be nice if like the other VRBO's we stay in if small shampoo and conditioner was provided. Small items but go a long way especially for those traveling a long distance. All in all great property, and Dawn deffinetly keeps a close eye on everything.
