Here, you don’t have to go far to enjoy the view with a good glass of wine. Surrounded by wineries, there’s something for every taste and every palate. Once you’ve found your wine, all you’ll have to do is settle into the summer lounge and enjoy the spectacle unfolding before you—from the sunset over the vineyards to the Château de Monbazillac, perched on its hillside and lit up for the night.
Inside, the atmosphere is intentionally cozy and practical. The kitchen is fully equipped with the essentials for getting through the morning (coffee and sugar).
In the living area, there’s a workspace available (for those who can’t quite disconnect from work) for both adults and kids, complete with coloring books (so Mom and Dad can unload the car without any fuss).
The spacious bedroom features a 140-size bed and a bunk bed with a 140-size bottom bunk and a 90-size top bunk.
Bed linens and towels are not provided unless you request them (an additional €10 per person for bed linens and €5 per person for towels, to be paid upon arrival).
The plants are real, not plastic, but you don’t have to worry about watering them.
The bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower and a sink. The toilet is separate.
Your neighbors, the “bikettes,” are affectionate, but please don’t feed them, and be careful around the electric fence (Blanquette might escape to eat the green grass at the top of the mountain, and Mr. Seguin would be sad all over again).
Pets are welcome—even Bubulle—but they’re your responsibility. Don’t forget to bring Fido’s basket and Grominet’s litter box.
Our three kitties love company; they’ll surely come say hello and beg for some scratches (as if they didn’t get enough already…).
Our rooster crows, but we can leave him in the coop a little longer in the morning for those who love a leisurely start to the day.
Nearby are the airport and downtown Bergerac. A little further away is the Monbazillac winery, where you can sample local wines. Castles galore. At the Château de Bridoire, you can get lost in the corn maze. Numerous gourmet markets are held throughout the summer. Further afield, the “Valley of Men,” the Lascaux Caves, and many other attractions.
Here, there’s a solution for everything. Are you missing something? Just ask us. Need to do laundry? We’ll give you the address of a laundromat so you can run some errands while your laundry is washing.
