David and I were pleased to have you return to the area as a guest at the Dam Right cabin. The property truly is one of a kind - "Beautiful" - peaceful, private, yet close to town, the lake, and all the amenities the area has to offer. It was also a pleasure to get to meet you personally and share an additional activity that was available during your stay.
The place was nice and everything we needed for a birthday weekend away. Thank you again, Linda and Dave.

Off grid in so many ways! Just getting away from the norm is one way, but being on solar power and off the electric grid is another. At the cabin, it can be hard to remember you are on solar power without even realizing there is a difference. Aimee, we are thrilled you and your family had such a great Memorial Day weekend. We look forward to having you stay again.
It was exactly what we were looking for. Very convenient location, our dog loved it, and many nights we sat out on the porch and ate our dinner and played cards. We had a great vacation.

Thank you Sarah for your kind review. The weather this past week was some of our best we've had all season. You really picked a terrific week to stay. We're thrilled you had time to enjoy the porch - it really is a favorite place to relax. Dave and I actually also took some time ourselves at the cabin tonight to play cards. It's so relaxing there and hard to leave. Glad your pup had a good time as well. Thank you again for choosing to stay at "Dam Right". Come again!
Beautiful location and cabin and Linda and David were wonderful hosts!

Chad and his friends came up when it was bitter cold. (Minus 30s). We were delighted to be able to offer them a nice, warm cabin - as well as enough snow for their snowmobiling weekend. They were a pleasure to host this year.
David and Linda were so kind! They set up a pack and play and brought over a stroller for us to use on our little family get away for the weekend! The cabin was very clean and cozy, and pretty private! Very close walk to the water with gorgeous views, as well as great fishing spots! Highly recommend this property!

Shawn's group took amazing care of the cabin during their stay. While some folks come for snowmobiling, Shawn told us he came for fishing and time in the woods. We had some sleds for the kids to use and are glad they took advantage of the hill by the cabin for sliding. ~ We can recommend him to future hosts wholeheartedly.
The quaint, cozy cabin is always spotless when we arrive. Linda and David are readily available if you need anything. If you like snowmobiling, 4 wheelers or wandering around back roads, this is the perfect spot! This is the only place I'll stay up north.

This is a cute little log cabin. We did a lot of riding and a little kayaking. Easy access for both activities. We really enjoyed coffee on the front porch in the morning and the fire pit in the evening. The owners are very responsive and kind!

Sometimes it's hard to remember that Dam Right cabin is off grid. The batteries charge each day with solar panels and the generator kicks in automatically when needed. As property owners, we wish we had added the solar sooner!
Thank you very much for the recommendation. We love the cabin too.
Comfortable and well-equipped for humans and dogs. We enjoyed wintery outdoors and Scrabble indoors. Easy to find. Thanks for the pleasant stay.

About the host
Hosted by David and Linda Chappell
Our log cabin was built by owners in 1988-1989 from a log cabin kit. It was originally set up at the Big E in Massachusetts before being disassembled and then reassembled at its current location. The cabin sits on the edge of the old family farm. One owner - who himself married his sweetheart at the camp 35 years ago. A true vacation paradise that is as special to us as it will be to you.
What makes this property unique
