Outstanding stay!!! More than the photos on the website depicts...Spacious, clean, well designed for a large group, fully equipped kitchen; pool, veranda, and view were the finishing touch.

Family Vacation

The property was beautiful and accommodated my family well. Located just a short golf cart ride from the beach other amenities, we were able to survive without a car rental. We definately would love to rent this property again. Our only request would be to provide a broom onsite!

Awesome stay

My daughter was married this summer. We had three separate families stay in this home. It was laid out perfect for us. The property is just as depicted, and we had an amazing stay. We enjoyed the pool, the view from the pool. The tv and grill outside were a big hit.

EXCELLENT! Service Was Top Gun! This is the absolute best company that we have worked with for vacation rentals. I do not often give a review; but, this review is necessary because of the outstanding service. I would give 10 stars if possible. If you are going to the gulf on vacation; you should definately rent from Beach Reunion Vacation Rentals!!!!!

Very Nice

The neighborhood is very nice. This location is close to everything. The house is beautiful. It was only 1 thing wrong, one of the rooms was a full size bed, but in the description it said it was a queen size. Other than that, it was perfect

Property could have been cleaner. Saw a few cockroaches and that was very unsettling .

We had a great time and the pool area was awesome but I would not rent this property again. Although it was plenty large enough for our group, I feel it needs an overall deep cleaning.

Hi Donna. We're really sorry that you had this experience, we don't take these things lightly and wish we would've known there was any discomfort at all. We would've sent housekeeping back right away. There are lots of deep cleans being done in the off season and we'll work to ensure this isn't a problem for any future guest. Come back to see us at any Beach Reunion property soon. Hope it's a great holiday season.

2024 thanksgiving break

Our stay was nice! House was spacious and exactly like listing! Only issue we had was the pool! Heat stopped working multiple times! Outside grill needs cleaned and upstairs bunker couldn’t get lights to go off had to unscrew lightbulbs! Other than that is was perfect! Would stay again but when warmer out

Great rental with some needed tlc

We enjoyed our time very much… great location to beach and lake in back was great for fishing. Some repairs need to be done on the dock wood for safety reasons and some other in house repairs too need to be fixed. The upstairs didn’t stay very cool since there is only 1 A/C regulator, which was for downstairs. A separate upstairs unit should be added. But it’s a lovely home overall and in a great neighborhood.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us! We’re glad you enjoyed the convenient location near both the beach and the lake — it sounds like the fishing was a great bonus. We truly appreciate you bringing the dock safety concerns and other repair needs to our attention, as well as the note about the upstairs cooling. We understand how important comfort is, and we’ll be looking into options to improve the air conditioning upstairs. Overall, we’re happy to hear you found the home lovely and the neighborhood welcoming. Thanks again for staying with us, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future!

Gorgeous house with a beautiful view!

We were greeted immediately through text about the house and response was immediate. This house was gorgeous. Entering this house you are greeted with a beautiful foyer and a spectacular view of out the living room floor to ceiling windows of the pool that overlooks the lake in the community. The grand kitchen with the open floor space was marvelous. I thoroughly enjoyed using the gas range to make my family a seafood feast. The master bedroom and ensuite master bath was a sight to see! Large tub and walk-in shower with 3 shower heads, including the rain head was marvelous. The house was clean, the neighborhood was very well lit for night walks or just a nice ride with our reacted golf cart. It's less than 5 minutes from the beach entrance so coming and going was very easy. My family loved the house and definitely enjoyed our night swims in the pool. Highly recommended!

Thanks so much for the awesome review! We’re so happy you felt welcomed right away and loved the gorgeous views from the foyer and living room. That kitchen truly is amazing — perfect for cooking up a seafood feast for the family on the gas range! The master bedroom and bath sound like pure luxury, and it’s great to hear the house was clean and the neighborhood nice and safe for evening walks or golf cart rides. Being just a quick 5 minutes to the beach definitely makes things easy. So glad your family enjoyed the house and those night swims in the pool! We really appreciate your recommendation and would love to have you back anytime!

Great Time at Anchor Down

Anchor Down was home base for our annual golf trip. It accommodated the 7 of us very well. We have been renting large beach houses like this for our trip for over 20 years. This property ranks with the best. It is well maintained and stocked with the typical wear and tear to be expected with a beach rental. A couple call outs for future consideration… - The floors and carpets could really use a good scrubbing - One of the upstairs bedrooms was missing window coverings… glad I didn’t get that room!! - If renters are willing to pay for it, pool heat should be available. We missed the June 1 cutoff by 4 days. The pool temp was in the 70’s making it unusable… and the spa really isn’t a spa… it just recirculates the pool water so it was unuassable as well.

Property ownership transfer during our stay

We had a group of 13 adults staying together. The description said there was a hot tub, but the management said that this meant you could use the community hot tub at the club house. The hot tub which was attached to our pool was not operable as a hot tub (jets didn't work and heat was finicky). Ownership transferred while we were there, so we had no WiFi when we got there, had to have maintenance bring a router and fix the pool heat. The buyers agent wanted to walk through the house during our stay and then didn't actually come (after I specifically waited around). The kitchen amenities could use an update but it was nice to have a crockpot. The stove desperately needed a cleaning. Otherwise, a lovely house in a nice neighborhood. Great view of the water. Would suggest replacing the rotten wood on the deck before someone gets hurt.LOVED the turtles that would swim up to the edge of the water.

Overall we loved the house & location for our large group. The floor plan was excellent, we loved the pool, stocked kitchen with spices, access to the pond, and communication was great from the company most days and we had a great time. A few suggestions on improvements especially for the price of this home…The master toilet has shims under it and is wobbly as can be. It should be properly fixed. The AC struggles upstairs and the rooms were uncomfortably warm and the window treatments on both sliders allow in a lot of light and heat. Out of control of the property mgmt company but we lost power almost daily, the last day of our stay the power was out for 7 hours (no follow up from the property mgmt company on ETA of power returning). This made packing and attempting to do laundry almost impossible for our travels home, we had to use flashlights all night. The house remained uncomfortably hot after being without AC that long. If this is a normal occurrence they may want to invest in a generator. The grill is completely filthy and almost caught the bushes on fire behind it. **Use with caution** I’ve seen other reviews about this, it’s a safety hazard at this point. It’s a great home but could use some TLC around deep cleaning & some improvements for the cost.

Family Reunion

Beautiful! Amazing! Great location! Walkable/bikeable to the beach. A very relaxing stay. A few issues that the owner should have addressed prior to our stay including having paid for the heated pool, told on Sat before check-in that the heat was turned on and ready but it was not and finally had it turned on Monday so ready for Tues and no refund issued for the 3 days lost. Some bedrooms do not have closets, which was a little unusual, and my husband in a wheelchair could not access the water closet in the beautiful main bath, but the shower worked well for him. Fortunately we travel with ramps and walkers for him to access the house and patio area. We would stay here again for the view and walkability. Beautiful neighborhood!
