Our family had a great time staying here. There are two separate areas which was nice for the grandparents to have their own living space and area. Private beach was great. Bonfire on the beach the kids loved. Would definitely book here again.

Thanks is for staying with us and you are welcome back anytime!
Great location, great property, awkward interaction with hosts
I can say nothing but great things about the property; The location is quaint in a beach association with a long stretch of private beach and the home itself was nice, clean, and spacious.
Unfortunately my party had a few interactions with the hosts that made our stay a tad uncomfortable. Twice the hosts interrupted us at the property. The first time was just to stop by and make sure we had no issues, however the second time they interrupted our vacation to ask us to move one of our vehicles from the designated parking spot so that they could park their own in the garage. It wasn't a huge deal, but the whole interaction left my party feeling like our privacy was invaded and it broke our immersion of having the house to ourselves.

We aim to be attentive hosts, to leave guests to enjoy their vacation, but sometimes need to interact with guests to assure all goes smoothly. We actually had very minimal contact over their 4 night stay. The 2 personal contacts we had were simply (1) to make sure everything was OK soon after their arrival (our association layout/beach access can be confusing and we were not present to greet this group when they arrived the night prior) and (2) to follow up from a text message we sent to Kyle at 5pm the day prior to their departure (for which we had received no response) asking whether the group would want a later check out time past 11am (so I could advise our cleaning person) and to ask if they could move one of their cars that blocked our garage access, as we needed to shelter this car from an impending storm/risk of falling branches that night. When we received no response to the text, after 3-4 hours of waiting patiently, we did not think it would be intrusive to know on their door to ask them to move a car. It took less than a minute.
This property looked as good as the photos—modern and clean. The house had the amenities we needed for our family. It was tricky to discern the layout of the house from the photos and we now understand why—the house is split into three floors with the garage being on the main in the middle and living spaces above and below. This is perfect for two families traveling together but not so great for those who are not as able-bodied of which we had two in our party. Just wanted to note for those who don’t do stairs well. Beach access was also a bit tricky for those not as able-bodied. Not as direct as we had planned for. We had also thought we were provided at least two parking spots with the garage pad but one was already claimed. While we had parking it was not what we thought it would be. I would not recommend more than two cars for your party. Overall, this place was nice and provided us with what we needed. There were just a few things we wanted to note for future guests.
Everything was as pictured and as described, either in the posting, or in separate communications with Kim. Kim was amazing as a host...I tried not to bother her beforehand, but when I did, she responded promptly; she also reached out to me as she thought of things that might improve our stay.
It is very clear ahead of time that there are a lot of stairs. but to confirm, there are almost 40 between the two house levels, so depending who is staying, guests might need to pre-plan their moves! We were grandparents with two early elementary kids, and Gpa had "the penthouse". We worked it out, but for some, it could be too many stairs every day. FYI, neither (apartment) is at ground level. Also along the line of stairs, there are 65 to get to/from the private beach boardwalk Additionally, boardwalk and single boards trail is about a 3 minute walk to beach. I am NOT a very physically active person, but I had no trouble at all--just pointing out for others. Kim made very clear what the accessibility issues would be; she does point out that one can drive part way. I would recommend driving to the little park that is below the house, and taking the public boardwalk (perhaps those were her instructions, but I didn't pay attention as I didn't need them).
EVERYTHING we needed was provided!!!! I was impressed. The neighborhood was quiet (were we lucky??). The beach is amazing! Not that Kim has anything to do with it, but this is one of the few wide beaches left along the Lake Michigan shores. My only regret is that we could not see the lake from the house except for a sliver when sitting on the balcony, but we spent so many hours at the beach in the morning and in the evening/sunset, that it didn't matter . Definitely would return!
Great house and the owner is really nice. Amazing area.
