I attempted to check into my room at 7:30 P.M. and was told the room had not been cleaned yet. The hotel was having issues with the cleaning staff (not sure if not enough staff for the night, was never told.) After multiple discussions with the Assistant Manager, Laura, we were told we can go to our rooms. I could not find a luggage carrier to take our suitcases up to the room. Laura offered and found one for us. She also had the security person help us load the carrier and take it to the room for us. Also, he followed me to the parking deck in his golf cart and brought me back to the hotel. I do not remember his name, but he was so pleasant and helpful. We finally got into our room at 11:30 P. M. I was not the only person going thru the process. I have to say that Laura handled the situation very professionally and she constantly stressed that this is not a true representation of the hotel on a normal day. Anyone in the process that night was compensated for the issue. I will go back to the hotel. It was clean, great view of the beach on the balcony and a fantastic breakfast.
