About this property
Summer Solstice Tiny Floating house
Launched this year, Summer Solstice is a tiny floating house that comes with ultimate solitude. Its designed to accommodate a solo traveler or 2 people, its accessible only by water via kayak or canoe (we provide a canoe if you don't have one)...talk about privacy! Custom cherry wood cabinetry and a new flooring and furniture guarantees that you will have a special tiny cozy space in the world, to get away from it all. Two chairs fold out into cot-sized beds for when you are ready to sleep. Bring a sleeping pad or air mattress if you want extra cushioning, some of our guest have mentioned they are a little firm. Anyway, there's a tiny kitchen with a tiny set of dishes and a tiny (french press) coffee maker. A brand new propane grill will be on the patio, and a 30 qt. cooler is provided. Everything is tiny except for the experience - that will be BIG! ONE canoe is provided with the property if you don't have your own kayaks, etc.

About the host
Hosted by James R Gilmet

We are all about the outdoors and being entrepreneurs. We have started and sold or kept over 16 different companies over the last 30 years. We have been fortunate enough to spend 30 days in Alaska building a remote camp in 2003. With our current Water Purification Company (Roving Blue Inc.) we followed the US Military to Thailand, Germany putting on demonstrations. We have been on Wisconsin trade missions to South Korea, Japan, Philippines, India, and the United Arab Emigrants. We enjoy the dance.
Why they chose this property
In 2017 we found this property and thought it was a great opportunity to do something really special. We wanted to use local materials and mill and shape them into warm, cozy, special places. The tiny house was build 2019 and launched in summer of 2020. We are so happy people are loving it.
What makes this property unique
Water 360 degrees! Little or no boat traffic. Complete relaxation. Back to basics.
