Great/stunning location, poor house amenities and instructions

This house has a great location/super pretty from the outside, but the layout and amenities of the house aren't great. The kitchen is way too small given how many people the house is intended to host and the amenities are so-so. It advertises a sauna, but it didn't really work. The showers took a very long time to heat up and had zero water pressure. Very poor house instructions - almost none inside the house (i.e. how to work the tv, the fireplace, where to put the garbage, etc). I kept getting incoming messages all day, everyday with things the owner forgot to tell me, including a really long list of detailed checkout instructions. She also left the wrong phone number in her check-in instructions so we couldn't reach her. I expected more given the price we paid for the house.

Thank you Maggie for the review , even a negative review is appreciated This way I can work harder to fulfill the expectation of our guests. I would address your comments about the kitchen, sauna , pricing etc . yes unfortunately this house comes with a very small kitchen which is noticeable on the pictures. I spent weeks in that house this winter with 10 of us and we had a great time. one point I even said I love this small galley kitchen because I have to clean less 😅. But I understand that you felt differently about it. The sauna does work fine but it takes about 30mins to warm up . l Il will make sure in the future that our guests know about that, thank you! we had no water pressure issue thus far but it is pretty common that you have to run the water for a minute before it reaches the hot temperature , especially in cold regions like Vermont. Sorry for reaching out several times but i wanted to make sure you are all set with turning on the livingroom television. I ll make sure that we provide a written manual to our upcoming guests and do not just rely on the vrbo online instructions . Lastly , Price and value . we purchased our homes in Vermont because we were fed up with the ugly hotel rooms and dated rentals that we got in high winter season for very high rate . I know that the house isn’t perfect that is why will be doing a full remodel this spring , but i tried to make sure it has all the little touches to make it feel cozy , loving and welcoming. I am sad to hear that this did not come across in your case , but I am thrilled that other guests enjoyed it. I truly value your feedback and I will make sure that I work harder to better the experience for our future guests .

Fantastic Home!

Great house! Has all you need (hot tub and sauna)! House has a nice layout, huge, open kitchen. Upstairs attic which is finished great for kids to sleep and play in. Would book again, no question!

Cozy and convenient ski get away

The house was very nicely decorated, fully stocked w games for non-skiing days, was in a private neighborhood that was convenient to Ludlow and Okemo. The family/living room was comfortable with lounge sofas, fireplace and beautiful outdoor views on three sides. It was a great spot for a family ski vacation. The kitchen was small but well equipped. The sauna worked fine and helped with sore muscles. No problems with hot water.

Comfortable, Clean and Close to Okemo!

We had a great stay. Beautiful home has everything you need for a relaxing time. Literally less than five minutes to Jackson Gore. Super welcoming. And host was very responsive when we had questions about the wi-fi. We’ll be back!
