The house is cozy and lovely. We enjoyed the view. We wish we had been left more kitchen towels and maybe towels approved for wiping off patio furniture. It was impossible to complete the requested clean up with one kitchen towel. It rained until the last morning. It would have been nice to have been able to wipe down the furniture and actually spend time outside.

Good for One Family and Small Car
Good location close to convenience store to pickup supplies. Very tight parking for one car only and located on a downhill curve so careful!! Second car had to park at convenience store. Only one bathroom had a shower, not helpful for 4 adults. Strange second floor bathroom setup shared by two bedrooms. Didn’t see any of this in the write up or photos. Good for two adults and kids. Not good for 4 adults and two cars.
Special views, convenient location, well appointed, responsive property management, unique antique charm.

We had such a great stay in this house! Plenty of space for our family of 5. It’s an older home, but has been updated nicely. And the house was very clean. Being right on the water was great. Good spot to put a kayak in the water. Views of the water from inside the house are great. Our only issue is we wish there was more than one parking space. Would definitely stay here again!
This very old house has been beautifully renovated and simple, modern furnishings are perfect. For swimmers and mariners: private dock is on tidal river, and tricky for people and boats to get in the water; launch site is not near. Otherwise, loved it!

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at River Watch. The house is conveniently located on the main street and easy walk from the store, yet the house feels very private, thanks to the lush garden and fence. The sunsets over the Mill River were so beautiful to enjoy from the deck or the dock, and Wingaersheek beach is only a 20 minute paddle away. We also really enjoyed the relaxed elegance of the furnishings, uncluttered but with everything one could need, and capturing the essesnce of Cape Ann style. We can't wait to come back!
