Prestigious "4 Mile Valley" Location Close to Downtown While Still in the Mountains
Minutes to downtown Pagosa Springs (3.8 miles). Nestled into the hillside on 10 wooded acres, our mountain cabin vacation rental gives you the best of both worlds. Hickory wood floors, fully equipped kitchen, luxuriously appointed rooms, high speed internet (60 MBPS), and all the comforts of home in a conveniently located (close to town) mountain cabin rental.
Downstairs king master, 2 queen rooms upstairs , 2.5 baths, great room w/1 twin bed, and downstairs living room plus a separate upstairs loft/TV viewing area. 3 separate gas fireplaces on their own thermostats in addition to the central heat to keep you cozy and warm on brisk mountain nights. No central AC, but here on the mountain side we've never needed it. Every room has plenty of Andersen windows with screens, allowing you to let the fresh air in and stay cool in the summer.
When you leave the cabin driveway, turning left takes you quickly back to town, but turning right and staying on the county road for 20 minutes takes you to the 4 Mile falls trailhead, one of the most popular hikes in all of Pagosa Springs. The cabin is at 7,560' in elevation and is surrounded by pines (and a few aspens).
You'll enjoy golden sunsets from the front porch, and viewing local wildlife almost every day (deer, chipmunks, turkeys, birds and sometimes bears!).
Luxurious Amenities - No Cutting Corners
We have enjoyed being guests in vacation rentals for years, so when it came time for us to host our own guests, we decided there would be no cutting corners when it comes to hospitality. Bed linens and mattresses are top notch and qualified for coziness, towels are fresh, fluffy and large, and soft sitting areas and napping spots abound.
Room to Stretch Out and Relax
At approximately 2,790 SF (including 4 large bedrooms) the cabin is large enough for a family or small group but intimate enough for a weekend getaway. The downstairs master has its own gas fireplace on a separate thermostat, and features an en suite bath with walk-in shower and jetted tub. Two upstairs guest rooms, each with a queen bed and desk, are tastefully decorated in woodlands and alps themes, and have bedside lamps with built-in device chargers. The fourth bedroom has a single twin bed in a large upstairs multi-purpose room which also includes a small open office and fitness area. The upstairs bathroom is a true full-bath with plenty of extra towels and the same amenities we stock in the master, easily accessed from all 3 upstairs bedrooms.
The front porch has 2 rockers with seat cushions and an outdoor dining area, as well as a propane fire pit. The back porch has an outdoor love seat and gas grill. Two Adirondack chairs in the side yard give you a great spot to take in the wildlife and cool mountain air while sipping a favorite beverage.

*Winter rentals: Please note that while our cabin is accessible year round via the maintained and plowed county road, during the winter months the steep driveway gets snow/ice requiring a 4WD vehicle to park at the cabin itself. Visitors during winter months will experience intermittent snow and ice conditions and should be prepared (salt and snow shovels will be available for your use, but you may also contact us to obtain assistance with shoveling during your stay). Check the weather forecast before your arrival, and arrive with groceries to allow time for the road to be plowed after heavy snowfall. A special winter conditions addendum will be added to the normal rental agreement (there are no refunds for utility, internet, or access issues caused by winter weather).
