Excellent location and size for a family retreat near the Grand Mesa and all of the outdoor activities it has to offer. We enjoyed our four night stay. The hostess was always cordial and responsive to my inquiries. All of the comforts of home with exceptional vista.
unbelievable views of the valley.
11 of us spread out on the property for 4 days with plenty of room for all. easy access to Powderhorn and the entire Grand Valley. wrap-around porch with lots of seating. Well thought-out amenities. we had a blast!
The views were amazing! The house was clean and we had plenty of space! The only complaint we had was the well water. It had a very strong sulfur smell and there was hardly any water pressure especially in the master shower. Only one shower head worked and it barely spit out the water.
Great house fits a big family with lots of different sleeping configurations. Easy ski equipment on and off. Powderhorn is a wonderful area and small enough to let kids take off on their own and finally fly in and out of GRnd Junction. So easy. And a dump of 10 “ the first day set us up for great condones the whole week
The main new house is great. Really good living room and kitchen space. A-Frame has a cool rustic vibe that some will really like and might be a bit rustic for others. During the winter I recommend 4wd/AWD. The driveway is pretty rough and not very wide. Great stay.
We had a great time on this trip! As locals who have spent years on the Grand Mesa, this lodging location was a new one for us, but checked all our boxes. We wanted to be near to Powderhorn for biking, but also convenient to fishing at many of the lakes on the Mesa side. Location was spot on.
The house was exactly as advertised and had everything we needed for our stay. Excellent TV and internet. Covered deck to watch the thunderstorms roll in over the mountain. Built in fire pit with great seating and firewood provided! Having two fridges was a huge bonus for us. Two washers and dryers was also a massive bonus! The built in garage was great for storing all our gear. Beds were comfortable and plentiful. Overall we had a great experience and would recommend this property!
Wonderful Christmas. The owner even took care to decorate it wonderfully. And communicated great. The picture window in the master bedroom is worth it all. All the touches make this a great place. If going in the winter definitely have 4 wheel drive but totally worth it. Quiet, beautiful, million dollar views, and charming.
We went to this area of Colorado to ride the new Palisade Plunge for my husband's 50th. This house was perfectly located as it was 1/2 way between the trailhead ad put out. The house was beautiful, great space for entertaining. The house did have some quirky, interesting aspects like the attached A frame which needed to be heated by a woodstove, but the teens loved it and took it over as there hangout pad. When we arrived, we had water issues, but the owners addressed it immediately. I wish I could have stayed longer, but our friend had a serious accident on the trail and I was there for less than 24-hours (only ride Palisades if you are an expert mountain biker). I willl be back again for a more relaxing trip.
The view and fresh air makes this place a winner. The inside is beautiful too. Well stocked with kitchen items. Perfect for our three families to have sperated quarters. Only complaint is that the showers often lost pressure down to a dribble for a few seconds.
