I want to respect your privacy and allow you to enjoy the cabin and surrounding area. If you have a question or issue I am always available by phone or text and can be on-site quickly.

The cabins for rent at the Big Diamond Ranch are exclusive, private, and built with an affinity for quality. Set high on top of the hill, the cozy homes have an unobstructed eagles-nest view over the valley, the mountain range and the pristine Wind River that flows right through the entire length of the vast property. Being located 12 miles west of the town of Dubois, allows for a head-start in getting to Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton or Jackson Hole. The back of the cabins open directly to 2.5 million acres of Shoshone National Forest, a playground for 4-wheeling, horseback riding or some world class snowmobiling in the winter. In short, this area is of such raw beauty that some hikers, eager fly-fisherman, painters and photographers are known to have set out for Dubois, but never returned back to their old house. It is said that the magical spell of the Wind River Valley has captured their hearts and given their souls a home. Put a sun chair to the mountain backdrop, close your eyes, feel the presence of the fresh mountain air and the rippling water and relax, or go out there into the wilderness and play your heart out. Nature doesn’t come more violently breathtaking as in Yellowstone’s backyard. Our home is yours. – Big Diamond Ranch

Cabin is located 12 miles east of Dubois, less than a mile off US Highway 26. Easy access all year. There is a large parking area available for trailers and RVs if needed.

The washer and dryer is a combo unit and only does very small loads.
Check out time is a hard 10am. In order to thoroughly clean the cabin, the housekeepers need as much time as possible. Thank you for understanding.

We really liked this cabin. It was very clean! The towels were super great! Hot tub was nice, warm, clean… and a great location. The kitchen is very adequately stocked for anything you’d want to make. Host is super responsive and messaged to verify we got in ok. You do need to make sure you screenshot the entry directions and wifi info because there is no cell service there (which their posts point out I just didn’t forward think on this)… it was not a big deal, just drive back up to the main road and you’ll have service to get it… but figured I’d try to save someone else the headache. The beds are all bunk beds but the mattresses were comfortable and the bedding was nice. Overall, we would definitely go back and appreciated the stay!

Nice cabin

Was a nice cabin and very clean on the inside. Has lost of sleeping space for our family if 4 but for how many people this cabin can fit there is very little sitting space. My husband had to pull a camp chair out to sit on in the living room. Also, the night we got there we inspected the hot tub and it had hairy things growing on the head rest, white scum around it, and it had murky water. The cover also smelled horrible. We were not going to get in it. The next day we left to go explore and when we got back we noticed a pool net on one of the fire ring stumps. We lifted the cover and it all of a sudden was clean. We looked up at the ‘light’ above the pool and it seems as though it could be a camera as well. We suspected that someone was watching and listening to us as we talked about how gross it was. We decided we were not getting in the hot tub even though it may have been cleaned for someone may be watching us on that side of the cabin. Creepy!! Not sure we will be back to this one!!

Perfect place to get away

This was a great cabin with everything we needed for a family of five. We enjoyed an atv trip nearby, fishing in the lakes, and grilling our catch on the outside fire pit. Its conveniently located to the Tetons and Yellowstone. The view was great, the hot tub relaxing, and the only sounds were the sounds of nature.

Great stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed, easy communication with owner. We loved the location. It was about 45-60 min into Tetons (beautiful drive!!) and 10 min into Dubois. Dubois is a fantastic little town and we found it much more enjoyable than the crowds in jackson. Great little grocery store and restaurants. Some days we would do activities in Dubois area like float trips and atv rides, then finish day in teton mountains. Great stay!

A special place

We had a great stay. The photos on VRBO don't fully do the place justice. The kitchen floor is heated, and it's a nice open space with generous views. For those looking for a base to explore Teton NP, we found it great. The drive takes you up a valley, over a pass, and then down the back side of the mountain with dramatic views of the Tetons. Even in the peak of summer season, the traffic was pretty limited. There are also some nice local hikes as well. Joel was a great host.
