About this property
Unique A-Frame! Just 1.5 mi to Estes & RMNP entrance
City of Estes Park Registration 3033. Actual address is 2415 Wild Bear Way, Estes Park.
Why stay in the same old cabin or condo when you can stay in our beautiful, clean and unique A-Frame surrounded by trees and abundant with wildlife.
The location of this home is perfect for your Estes vacation. It is located in a very quiet collection of a few cabins about a 15 minute hike into Rocky Mountain National Park or the YMCA property and a 1.5 mile drive to Downtown or the Beaver Meadows entrance into RMNP.
You will have a marvelous Rocky Mountain vacation in this clean, quiet, fully appointed vacation home. We have two bedrooms upstairs. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a balcony where you can hear the Big Thompson River through the trees. The second bedroom has a full size bed. Downstairs is tastefully decorated with cabin style furniture with a pull-out queen and pull-out twin bed. Downstairs is great for kids to sleep in while the grown-ups sleep quietly upstairs.
We have a newer remodeled full kitchen w/ gas stove, dishwasher and microwave, plenty of plates as well as pots and pans. We also have a full sized washer and dryer too.
You can relax and read a book by the wood-burning stove, watch DVD's on the TV (we have a large selection of DVD's stocked), play classic Atari video games or sit on the front or back porches and watch the elk, deer, bears, foxes, coyotes, wild turkeys, rabbits, hummingbirds etc. that are frequently seen on the property.
If you want to hike, this is the location for you. You can hike into Rocky Mountain National Park along the picturesque boulder strewn Big Thompson River and be in the Moraine Park area (prime fishing and elk viewing area) in about 15 minutes (accessed through the corner of the YMCA property). You can also hike along Glacier Creek for more fishing and beautiful trails. The YMCA has numerous trails where mountain biking is allowed. We are close to quite a few restaurants, shopping, horseback riding, fishing, miniature golf and all that Estes has to offer on Highway 66 (Tunnel Rd) into downtown Estes.

About the host
Hosted by STEPHEN VELASCO

A lover of hidden gems, funky houses, groovy music, trails that lead to nowhere, dogs of any shape or size, misfits, and jeeps.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with this house the moment we saw it. We have always loved Estes Park, and wanted our own little piece of it to enjoy. We love being able to easily hike into the park. The wildlife in the immediate area is abundant. The balcony off the bedroom is fantastic for sitting outside with a cup of coffee. We have always loved the unique look of an A-Frame. It's like owning a Harley or an Airstream. Why have a home like everyone else!
What makes this property unique
Walk into the RMNP Morraine Park area. Walk trails to the YMCA, past rushing water. The Rock Inn Mountain Tavern is a great place to go have a beer and sometimes catch live music and is just down the road.
