Enjoyed a three-night stay at Cala Tortuga. The house is very nice and easily accommodated me and 9 other members of my fishing club. The dock easily handled three of our bass boats and two others stayed on trailers in the driveway and launched each day at the nearby Henrico Wildlife Landing ramp, where we kept some truck/trailer rigs. The house was well-appointed with everything we needed to prepare group meals and enjoy our evenings after fishing. The only negative is that it is located on a very narrow gravel road that has no circle drive at the end. This leaves very little room for maneuvering trailers into the driveway but all went well.

Perfect housr

We were 9 adults and two children and the house was perfect. The kitchen was so well stocked that cooking was a joy. The dock is do lovely with plenty of covered space and tons of great chairs. The paddle boards were wonderful and we all spent hours in the water. The screened in porch was a favorite space for hanging out. We loved it and you will too!

We had a wonderful stay at this lake house! The home was comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The kitchen was incredibly well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals for our family without missing a thing.One of our favorite parts was sitting outside each evening and enjoying the beautiful sunsets over the lake—they were absolutely breathtaking. The peaceful setting made it the perfect place to unwind.The hosts clearly put a lot of thought into making guests feel at home, and we truly appreciated all the little touches throughout the property. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing lake vacation!

The lake was peaceful. There were other families staying nearby, but the noise didn't carry too much. This is a well-appointed family friendly place! We had other family staying in a different house and we are so glad we chose this one. Great stay!

Beautiful home on Lake Gaston

Beautiful, new home ion quiet cove just off the main lake. The home was better than described with a well stocked kitchen. The owners were extremely attentive and made our stay outstanding. Highly recommend this property.

End of Summer -Family vacation

The Tortuga was a very nice home and had all the essentials needed for the week and with added perks- like an ice machine and coffee station. Felt very homey and the grand kids made themselves right at home in the downstairs area. They enjoyed the game room and loved the bunk beds. Our daughter brought her dog so her and husband had the room over the garage which gave them privacy and space for the dog downstairs in the game area which was nice. THe garage was converted into a game room w/ couch and TV so another activity space to hang out. We enjoyed the firepit and roasted marshmallows with the kids. Plenty of seating for our group. My favorite part was the screened in porch off the living space upstairs. We sat out there most evenings and enjoyed a cocktail. We were able to rent the property boat which was extremely reasonably priced. Very convenient and we made fun memories with the grandchildren.

Beautiful home with all of the amenities - very well stocked. Plenty of room for everyone. Our family especially enjoyed the screened-in porch! The weather cooperated for late October and we also took advantage of the kayaks! Thanks for sharing your place with us!

Family Vacation at the Lake!

We had a great time at Cala Tortuga! We had great communication prior to and during our stay with the property management. The house was well equipped-everything we need to make dinner each night and the dock was amazing. A quiet cove with plenty of toys! Definitely would recommend to friends! Hope to be back soon!

This place is absolutely amazing. From the home to the views, it's hard to imagine that you can find a better spot to relax and unwind. From booking to check out, the owners were incredible to communicate with. The home was stocked well with the essentials and there were plenty of other thoughtful fun things to find from books to games. The beds were super comfortable. I could not recommend this place more.

Great house and wonderful accommodations!

This house was perfect for our large group. The house is clean and beautiful with wonderful lake views on a quiet cove. The sunsets were gorgeous! The kayaks and paddle boards were a hit with everyone and the screened in porch provided a lovely gathering space. Beds were super comfy and bedrooms spacious with a great bunk bed room for the kids in the basement. S’mores around the fire pit with lake views was a perfect way to end a wonderful week together.

Our family enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The home was clean, with comfortable beds, newer furnishings and equipment. We found this home so well equipped with almost everything you would need. Everything about the house was well thought out to be comfortable, have fun, and relax. Everyone in our family, from young child to adult, found plenty to do with the video games, tv's in every room, kayaks, paddle boards, firepit, and new boat house with deep water for our boat and jet ski. Definitely already thinking of renting this home again!

Great time had by all.

This was our first stay at Cala Tortuga. We’d definitely return. The home was clean, comfortable, with a well appointed kitchen and great big dining table. We practically lived on the big screened lakeside porch. The games downstairs are a fun addition for down time or rainy days. Very quiet cove with fun lake toys and maybe the most comfortable outdoor chairs ever.
