Small kitchenette with running water and kitchen table, loft for sleeping and desk space if you must catch up on some work. The porch is perfect for catching the sunset.
As an Eco-spiritual retreat center, we encourage our guests to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Walk the trails or labyrinth on our 35 acres or those on the neighboring 90 acres. We share the opportunities to wander with our friends to the south for a seamless experience for our guest and theirs. A second larger labyrinth, spirit wheel, and wailing wall are also on the property to the south. Overall 125 acres of woods, creek, gardens and places to wander await you. The White Pine Linear State Park is only a few steps away an is a paved path way of over 90 miles stretching from Grand Rapids to Cadillac. Plan a bike excursion and stay here half way!
You’ll have the whole cabin and close surrounding area to yourselves.
I live on the land and am happy to meet you and go over the workings pf the cabin or answer any questions about the property and surrounding areas.
Ashton Corner Store is just 5 mins away and about a mile and half south. The town of LeRoy is about 5 miles north of us and has a small market along with a few restaurants.
We’re nestled about a half mile down a dirt road two track driveway. Parking is available right in front of or next to the cabin in most seasons weather permitting.
We trust that as you make the choice to join us for a time of retreat, you recognize that there are inherent risks to being in the wilderness and to retreating in simple, rustic cabins. It is your responsibility to take the necessary precautions and use wise judgment while in the cabins and on the land.
In addition, the cabins and land have been tended and held as sacred space for over three decades to serve those seeking healing, wholeness, and love. As you join us for a time of retreat, we hope you will join us in honoring this history by relating to the cabins and land in a thoughtful and respectful way.
Please use the “Wilderness Ethic” and pack out what you pack in including all trash. `Leave no trace.`
Base price is for 2 people, additional fees apply for additional guests.

About the host
Hosted by Krista Arendsen

I've always dreamed of having acreage, a farm, and a retreat center. In November 2020 my dream came true and my sister and I became the owners of 35 acres of what was previously known as MorningStar Adventure Retreat Center. MorningStar Adventure Retreat Center is our neighbor to the south and we share our walking trails and features with each other so that our guests and their guests can continue to have the experience of the whole 125 acres as they have in the past. Founded in the 1980's this property has been used as a place for peaceful reflection and recreation for over 40 years.
Why they chose this property
This property has a calming effect on those who visit. It is both peaceful and fun. Perfect for the family get away, the romantic weekend or the personal retreat. The walking trails are well marked and the creek is beautiful.
What makes this property unique
Classic old world charm of the cabins, beautiful views in every direction. We are located just a few feet from the 90 plus mile long White Pine Trail Linear State Park which is a paved for biking, roller skating, and hiking.
