**Sandstep is the top 2 floors of this duplex (upper and lower) and, as such, some amenities will be shared between both sides of the property.

This spacious oceanfront duplex offers a perfect getaway with complimentary Wi-Fi, central air, and an elevator for easy access. Located just steps from the public beach, it features a shared pool with two other units, an outdoor shower, and parking for up to four cars. Guests can enjoy grilling on the gas grill or dining on the deck, which offers seating for four and ocean views. Families are well-accommodated with a high chair and booster seat available.

The third-floor kitchen and dining area boast a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances, including a refrigerator, drip coffee maker, dishwasher, and more. The large dining table seats 10, with additional seating for 5 at the kitchen bar. The adjacent living room offers seating for 11, with entertainment options like a flat-screen TV, Blu-ray player, Roku, and various books and games. The third-floor laundry area is equipped with a high-efficiency washer and dryer for added convenience.

The second floor features two ocean-view master suites, each with a king bed, private bathroom with a large tub and stand-up shower, and shared balcony access. Additional bedrooms include two queen beds with deck access, a room with two bunk beds, and two more bedrooms with king beds on the third floor. All bedrooms come with flat-screen TVs, ceiling fans, and alarm clocks, ensuring a comfortable stay for everyone.

Don’t rent this place needing and expecting an elevator for “ease of access” as described. It didn’t work at all the whole time and we had two very mobility challenged guests, one of those two was a 95 yr old veteran who uses oxygen and a walker, plus two other guests in their 80’s. It was very challenging to have them navigate three flights of stairs daily with assistance! Then to top it off, one of the ocean facing bedroom bathroom’s had electrical issues where lights crackled and power went out on that side of those rooms. Not an enjoyable stay for me during our daughter’s graduation and having to deal with the lack of communication, being told Friday the elevator was going to be fixed Saturday morning and it not only wasn’t but we weren’t contacted until I got a text two minutes before their office closed for the weekend. Disappointed in how it was all handled is an understatement.

The property was great, great view of the ocean from the desk, the house was clean, and the beds was comfortable. If I was ever to visit Carline Beach again, I would definitely choose this place

The beach location and view were lovely. However, we rented this property for a family, for an 80th birthday. And we had one person on crutches who couldn't climb stairs. The property was advertised as one that was appropriate for a large group, and that had an elevator. The elevator didn't work when we arrived. It took over 24 hours to get that sorted and was pretty clear it had not been checked prior to our arrival. The house was not stocked for a large group - it had silverware and glassware for 6-8 people, tops. Carolina Beach Realty was great in going out to purchase what we needed. 3 lightbulbs out when we arrived. Again, Carolina Beach Realty fixed them on our second day, but someone should have caught this prior to our arrival. And the house was pretty dirty. Dirty toilets, cobwebs - as if it hadn't been really cleaned in a month.

amazing place!

This house was amazing- the space, the views, the pool and the oceanfront location! all top notch. I had to call maintenance once and they responded extremely quickly to fix the issue. Loved the place so much, we are renting it again next summer!

Great location

Had a mini family reunion celebrating my daughter's graduation from UNCW. The house was perfectly appointed and could not be in a better location. There are a lot of stairs and the elevator was out while we were there.

My family and I stayed from 9/13/25 to 9/20/25. The house was clean and had plenty of room. There were 9 of us total that stayed, the view was great and easy access to the beach. Everything we needed was close by for dining and shopping. The only issue I had was the elevator. I had 3 elderly relatives and one with MS who could not go stairs. The day before we left the elevator completely stop working, unfortunately my niece was in the elevator when in stopped working. She was in there for about 45 minutes until maintenance could get her out. So not only we had that issue the 3 elderly people and my friend that had MS had a very difficult time doing the stairs. I did reach out to the reality company in regards to this issue but got no response. It realy caused some distress for the last day getting everything out of the house and having to help the people with disabilities. Everything else was good.

Great property with great ocean views!

This was a great condo with very responsive management. Great beds and decor. Plenty of space for a large family. Wonderful pool. Had an extra refrigerator which was awesome! Elevator was very handy, but not great for those with claustrophobia. We could feel the building sway a bit, but maybe that is normal with a building this tall. I would definitely stay here again.

LOVED! Very clean, big rooms. The stairs could have been cleaner. The elevator was broken during our stay so that wasn’t very fun but we were notified way beforehand and it didn’t stop us from having a great time! Highly recommend this house!!

The property had a great view. I am glad the Elevators was working, to get the kitchen on the 3rd floor. If they can just change the carpets to make the property better. Just one little irritation was that the dishwasher was full of clean load. We could not use it because it was full. Other wise when the ax broke down someone came with in an hour to fix it

Fun Stay

The house was wonderful. Laid out well for our 10 adults, 6 kids, and baby. Rooms are spacious and clean. We really liked this house and only had 2 issues. AC went out for 22hours and felt like it could have been resolved quicker, but that's partial fault of property mgt company and the owner only allows one service company. It got HOT! Only other issue was the pool - it's shared and whatever house shared it with us must have told all their friends because it the people in it had to be from multiple houses. Little crowded at times but worth being beach front with a pool.

Property needs some major TLC!

The pictures are super deceiving. Don’t get me wrong, the area and beach access is amazing. We loved waking up and being able to watch dolphins from our balcony. However, this property needs some major help. Broken elevator, kitchen cabinets falling off, floors turning our kids feet black, broken dryer door, squealing shower heads, the central air not shutting off and freezing the one room, trash left under the couches from the previous renter. Paint pealing by the stairs, coffee stains on the carpet. I’m not sure a cleaning company even came between us and the previous person. We definitely left it cleaner than how we found it when we left.

Concerns with the condition of this property

This unit was selected because it had an elevator. By the time we were informed that the elevator would not be repaired other rentals were not available. We were told that money would be refunded due to this issue, and when we asked how much no one would provide a number. A refund of $500 is 4%. That is not sufficient for the lack of elevator, dirty condition, & disrepair of the unit. Upon entering the property we were surprised by the lack of upkeep. The handrails were dirty & sticky. The base boards & hallway carpeting were matted with dirt. Toeshoe molding had been removed & the baseboards were not repainted. The door to the porch was grimy and missing paint. The tub upstairs does not drain, their was mold on the shower curtain, dirt on the kitchen chairs. All of the pool chairs were missing straps and there was mold on each one. The required “towel” package is cheap, thin, rough dorm level towels. The decor can only be characterized as institutionalized. All the walls are painted white, bedding is white, shower curtains are white, etc. It feels cheap. Chairs are covered with cheap slipcovers, the main bedroom is missing a sitting chair, wall art is random. The paint job does not look professional-there are drips & areas missing paint. The renovation that was done is a downgrade. A luxury beachfront rental should have high end furnishings and the appearance of professional decorating. This unit does not.

Needed more attention in the bathrooms and stairwells. Wasn’t clean enough. The shower curtains were dirty. I sprayed bathroom cleaner on them and ran water and the dirt came off. So if it was cleaned better that wouldn’t be a problem The rooms and kitchen were very clean. Except the pillows they need to be replaced. Thank goodness for the linen being cleaned thoroughly. The views of the ocean are amazing.. so would stay here again just be prepared to clean before you get comfortable. It’s a little over priced especially with the cost for cleaning added. Overall it was a good stay as it was all about family.

Sandstep 2

Property management was poor no communication when we arrived at 4pm house had not been cleaned. After calling at 5pm cleaning crew arrived at 615pm finished around 720pm Property needs some work: 2nd floor would not cool down below 75 fans in all bedrooms so must be a known issue. Power outlets at carport did not work so we had no place to plug in golfcart.
