This one-story 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath historic and charming beach cottage in Salter Path has everything you need for a perfect beach getaway! With newly remodeled pine floors, an in-ground private swimming pool, tile bathrooms, a white picket fence, and luxurious decorations - it’s a quaint beauty to behold.

Historically, this cottage was owned by the Frost Family who ran Frost Seafood House for over 35+ years - a staple in the Salter Path area that is long-since missed! Now, the cottage is conveniently located within walking distance to attractions such as The Big Oak Drive-In & Bar-BQ, Scoops Ice Cream shop, The Crab Shack, and Anchor Drafthouse (sound front dining). You can also walk straight to the Dollar General for any necessities.

Walk into this charming cottage and be amazed at the large inviting living room with exposed beams and comfy couch + Daybed. This leads you to the large Dining table and Fully-stocked kitchen for all of your cooking needs.

Our Spacious King-size bedroom is located on the right side of the house with a master bathroom & a large shower with two separate sinks. The perfect oasis after a long day in the sun.

We also have a Queen size bedroom with a vanity & a 3rd bedroom with 3 Twins (2 Twin beds on the ground, 1 Twin bed in a custom Loft). 2nd Bathroom is full size with a shower and bathtub.

Adorable screened-in front porch with rocking chairs and large back deck with a view of the private swimming pool and grill are available for use during your stay. The swimming pool area is also fenced-in with a yard for any pets.

For beach access, the nearest public access is located only .2 miles away!

A lovely property in the heart of Salter Path

My family stayed here over Thanksgiving. This is a beautifully renovated cottage right in the heart of Salter Path. Communications with the property manager were excellent, and the house is exactly as it appears in the listing. We will probably rent again here when I have family overflow!

The house was amazing!!! You can walk to the beach from the house but you do have to walk along a busy road without a sidewalk for a little bit. The pool was very nice.

We had a great time staying at this property! Absolutely beautiful home and great location to the beach. The pool was a big hit with our kids especially when they needed a break from the beach. Communication with Joyce and her team was great! They were very responsive and attentive. We highly recommend staying here and hope to return next year!

Amazing

We spent a week at this beautiful cottage and it was everything we expected and more ! The pictures shown are exactly how it looks inside ! It was very clean and well kept ! The pool is beautiful and this is where the kids spent most of their time ! We had family staying close by in Swansboro and it was so nice being so close that we could all spend time together ! The beach is so close to the house and has beautiful clean sand and clear water and the nest part is that it doesn’t get full at all ! Joyce was wonderful through the entire process and we would love to stay here again ! Thankyou for sharing your little gem with us !

Perfect Week

My family and I had a wonderful week in Salter Path. The beaches were not crowded at all even though we were there on July 4th week. These are some of the most beautiful beaches with clear clean water and soft white sand. We felt like we discovered a secret paradise! We spent more time in the private pool than anything though. It really brought the whole family together and made the trip more memorable. It was really nice having the Dollar General in walking distance. It really made the trip better so we didn't have to drive around looking for supplies as they were needed. I felt very safe in the neighborhood too. It was very quiet and friendly. The fenced in yard made it so nice for the dog. The beach is also very dog friendly as well. I am reluctant to even mention it because I highly recommend staying here, but the only negative is there wasn't a nice view. We spent many hours sitting on the screened in porch and it didn't bother us, but if a pretty view is your primary goal, this isn't the place. My family and I would definitely stay here again! It is such a unique place that feels like home.

Nice little house

Very nice little house for our family. It was very convenient to have the pool access when we couldn’t get to the beach every day. Evening swims were great. One thing we didn’t realize is that there would be houses behind us. There is a driveway that runs behind the house and sometimes a lot of cars would pass while we were trying to enjoy the pool. Not a big deal. Packages for the property management company came to the home a couple of times. The first time, we reached out to Joyce and she was responsive and had an employee come pick it up. The next time we just brought it over to the building ourselves. We did have some hiccups with the fire alarm going off at 5 am waking the whole house. After speaking with the fire department, maintenance was quick to respond and find that it was faulty. Two alarms were replaced, but a few days later a third starting chirping. Maintenance again came very quickly and were very friendly. We appreciated how many towels the home had for baths/showers as well as wash cloths and hand towels. Paper products and laundry detergent weren’t supplied and the kitchen appliances were sparse - struggled with the old can opener. We made it work though. Overall though, the house was clean and spacious enough for two parents, a young child, and a baby. Very comfortable experience for the most part!

The cottage is fantastic. Very comfortable and loved the fence for my dog. The pool was a big plus. I am handicapped and would have appreciated grab bars in the shower. Also the lighting in the main bath us dim. I would live to see a mirror over each sink and lights over them. Overall everything was great. Communications were wonderful and everything was better than expected. Thank you.

Great week at the beach.

The house had everything you'd need for an enjoyable stay. Easy access to the beach, putt-putt, grocery stores, GREAT to have the pool for after the beach. Kids loved to swim and play as the sun went down and turn on the pools colorful lights. The house is totally fenced in , front and back so it made it easy for the dogs to get out and play as well. I'd recommend this beach house!

Annual Cousins Beach Trip

Love the Frosty Fish Cottage!

My husband and I along with our friends, their 2 year old, and their dog spent the week in this beautiful cottage. The home was spacious with plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. We loved the “farm house” style table that had two long benches and two chairs and fit everyone with space to spare. The living room had comfortable furniture, and even a day bed which we used as a couch, but was a nice addition in my opinion. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The pool area was perfect for a evening relaxing outdoors. The front of the house has a great screened in porch which was perfect for relaxing in the shade without bugs. Both the backyard and front yard are fenced in which was great for our friends dog. We brought a baby pool and she loved playing in it by pool and playing catch. The home is a little close to the road, but honestly the road noise never bothered us! The night time traffic was minimal and it didn’t affect us one bit. The only thing that bothered me is that the only TV was in the living room, and with having a toddler, it limited what we could watch. It would have been nice to have a tv in the master bedroom where one could go to watch non-kid television or just to watch it a little tv while falling asleep. Would definitely stay again!

Great cottage!

The Frosty Fish Cottage was nearly perfect for our family. We have stayed at Summer Winds condos in the same area many times before but decided that something a little further from the beach would be fine since it had a private pool. The kids loved the pool and we had everything we needed in the kitchen for preparing breakfast and lunch. The property manager was quick to address the small tear in the front porch screen we found when we got there. The only complaint was the traffic noise at night, but it didn't stop anyone from sleeping. We loved being able to walk to the ice cream shop, the beach, and many restaurants. We enjoyed our visit so much that we are hoping to stay there again next year.

Beautiful home

The home was beautiful and everything we could have wanted. The pool was perfect size for a quick dip after going to the beach. The screened in front porch was great to sit on with our dog. The fenced in front and back yard made it convenient for our dog. The walk to the beach wasnt too far. The dollar store available next door was a plus with a few restaurants within walking distance.

Great location

We really enjoyed staying at this house. There is a lot of room and the private pool was great. The only things I would change would be to put more lights around the right side and back of the house. When you arrive in the dark, it's tricky navigating around the car and carrying stuff into the house. Also, the mirror in the master bath is pretty, but not functional. It was very hard for my husband to shave because the mirror was not above the sink, but rather in between the two sinks. So two paople cannot get ready at the same time. Joyce was great and easy to communicate with. However there was some confusion about check out time. Someone showed up at 9:20am the day we checked out to clean the property. I was in the restroom and my husband had just gotten out of the shower. On my emails the check out time said noon so we were planning on that. But there were two different check in and check out times listed between the contract and the online listing. That was confusing. I would stay here again. It was such a great location with food and the beach very close. We felt comfortable there. The bed was very comfortable!

We had the best trip!!

Such a perfect house and backyard and so close to the beach! The backyard was perfect for our dog and he also had the time of his life. Our favorite places to eat were in walking distance, the crab shack and big oak drive in bbq! Joyce was so easy to communicate with and got back to me right away! We can’t wait to stay here again!

Very good with a few issues and some suggestions

Issues: Freezer drawer handle is loose; light under microwave over range not working; rugs throughout house slide very easily on the wood floors. Suggestions: there are no tongs suitable for use with non-stick pans (only all-metal tongs that would damage non-stick surface); need more light in back to get from driveway to back door at night; a sidewalk, stepping stones, or wood ramp from driveway to back deck would help when ground is wet; bed in master bedroom is very high, so small step stools would help older tenants; need more towel racks in bathrooms; no coasters for beverages; could not find a pool skimmer (net). Summary: we had a great time at this house and will recommend it to family and friends.
