Overall good facilities
The apartments form part of the Hotel complex and are well furnished but could have been improved by having additional comfortable seating in the lounge area.
Good points were that you could almost ski in and ski out of the hotel and that ski lockers were provided. Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel itself provided a comfortable bar area and spa facilities but these were expensive - ten euro's per person per day to use the swimming pool.
The hotel is a short walk from the centre of the resort and close to the local Spar mini supermarket. There are a range of bars and restaurants in the village and a couple of other small supermarkets so there are ample facilities for self catering.
The most surprising thing was the lack of parking facilities in the resort for cars over 2.5m high. We were in a Land Rover discovery with a roof box and were unable to park in any of the available car parks in Le Lac as they were all multi storey and had a height limit of 2.5m. There is car parking at the hotel but this needs to be booked. The cost of parking at the hotel or elsewhere in Le Lac is approximately 75 euros per week and if like us your car is over 2.5m you will be directed to the car parks in the next village at Val Claret.
