This was my 1st time booking on Vrbo so I didn't really know what to expect. I found the listing on Bringfido.com. June, my Dalmatian rescue, isn't bothered by fireworks; Tuxedo, my American Staffy mix, on the other hand, is TERRIFIED of them. I wanted to find a quiet place so he'd be far away from any fireworks. Being the 250th anniversary, I knew it’d be a war zone x10. There were some fireworks off in the distance, but not bad.The property was as described. The portajohn and shower house were clean. Communication was great. The host, Michelle, was wonderful and answered all my questions promptly. She and her husband, Bob, have chickens; 2 roosters; 2 horses; 2 black labs and some Beagles who were all very friendly. My dogs didn't meet her dogs because Tuxedo is a rescue and “doesn't play well with others". He's gotten better over the years, but I don't trust him to sing Kumbaya unattended. We would text each other when our dogs wanted out, so as to not be out at the same time. It worked out well.During our stay there, it was VERY hot and humid (real feel temp around 105), so we didn't get a chance to explore the trails on the property. The A/C worked GREAT in the camper tho. We played ‘80s video games in the game room; that was fun. Unfortunately, the pinball machine didn't work because it's in a "permanent tilt".Bob built a fire one night. We forgot stuff to make s'mores, so we cooked a couple of hotdogs instead. It was relaxing & we'd definitely stay there again.
