This holiday rental is an ideal getaway in the heart of the Massif Central, in the Livradois-Forez Regional Park.
A cosy, characterful stone mountain home, south-facing and sunny, 50 m², on enclosed grounds with a terrace and green spaces, in a hamlet perched at an elevation of 935 m. Accommodates up to 6 people.
Private parking available.
An ideal spot for nature lovers, those who enjoy the great outdoors, hikers, mushroom hunters, cyclists (various mountain passes), mountain bikers, paragliders, and skydivers.

In this peaceful, relaxing setting surrounded by nature, you’ll enjoy beautiful views of the Livradois-Forez mountains; early risers will witness stunning sunrises, while others will marvel at starry nights.

10 km away: the town of Ambert, known for its shops, the historic district, the Fourme Cheese Museum, the tourist train to La Chaise-Dieu, the Energy Museum, the rail bike, the lake, and the swimming pool... Local farmers’ market: Thursday mornings in Ambert.
Nearby: the 1900 School Museum, the Richard de Bas Mill (paper mill), Le Puy-en-Velay (starting point for the Camino de Santiago), the Cheese Trail, the Jardin pour la Terre in Arlanc…

Le trajet, indiqué par le GPS, nous a amené précisément au lieu dit de Susmontargues. L'emplacement de la voiture était clair, pour permettre aux voisins de bien circuler . La situation du lieu dit est assez pratique en voiture. A quelques kilomètres de la ville d'Ambert, nous avons l'offre nécessaire et suffisante pour passer un séjour des plus confortables. L'Intermarché du coin était, étonnement bien fourni , même en matériel hi-fi vidéo ! La ville elle-même est bien agréable, son marché incontournable par sa variété et son étalement citadins. Bien qu'en séjour caniculaire , le Livradois-Forez regorge d'activités respirables où des musées(papèterie, safran, dentelle, coutellerie...), sites remarquables (Chaise Dieu, Le Puy en Velay ...) vous attendent. Et le chef lieu de l'Auvergne : Clermont-Ferrand. De retour le soir au gîte, nous sommes accueilli par la fraicheur sous les 20, ce qui permet de nous reposer de la chaleur de la journée. Les nuits , dans cet écrin de verdure à 940m d'altitude, sont , de ce fait , tout à fait supportables. L'accueil de l'hôte Thierry, nous a permis de profiter de précieuses informations , des œufs à foison, d'une soirée tarte flambée, pizza et de la machine à laver. En somme, un lieu reposant , étonnement bien situé , dans un coin méconnu de l'Auvergne , loin des puys, mais proche des chaumes et d'autres sites à découvrir. Bon séjour à vous qui choisirez ce lieu !

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à Champetieres. L'accueil etait parfait. La maison etait très propre, le calme etait primordial pour nous et c'était exactement le cas pendant notre séjour.

Nature

Lieu incroyablement calme à la montagne permettant une déconnexion totale avec le travail et le reste.Ainsi la géographie des lieux vous emmènera automatiquement vers une détente et une réflexion vers ce qui est essentiel du temps passé. Les forêts vous rappelle que sans la nature nous ne sommes rien. Un pèlerinage mental donc indispensable pour se poser et contempler notre terre.

Super location

Super gîte ultra adapté aux tout petits (3 et 1 ans pour nos enfants). Hôte (Thierry) vraiment accueillant, disponible sans être envahissant, attentif à notre bien être sans en faire des tonnes. la cohabitation avec lui (et sa famille pour quelques jours) s'est vraiment très bien passée, malgré la proximité des terrasses (du gîte et de sa maison). Gîte entièrement refait en 2023, donc tout fonctionnait. Très bien équipé, très adapté aux petits (je le redis, pour une famille de 4) et très propre à notre arrivée.

Nature, détente et activités sportives

Gîte très confortable, très bien équipé et hôte très accueillant et disponible. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans un cadre très nature (randos, rafting, VTT) et en proximité de sites culturels intéressants (Ambert, La Chaise-Dieu, Le Put en Velay).

Gite au coeur d'un village retiré

Proche d'une forêt où il fait bon se promener par grosse chaleur. Reservé à personne qui aime la solitude. Proprietaire sur place, accueillant, toujours prêt à vous rendre service. Gite tres soigné, où rien ne manque. La literie est impeccable.
