Check in was set to be 4pm ET. Ten minutes after check in time I received an email stating the property could no longer be rented & was refunded for my stay claiming an “electrical issue” even though we saw lights and ACs running when we pulled up. House also dilapidated, falling apart and overgrown - looks nothing like the pictures. VRBO customer service was no help and only offered a one night stay in a hotel - but futile as no hotels available on a busy resort island in the summer at the last minute let alone a pet friendly hotel as we had a pet with us. Had to cancel all plans, wasted PTO, childcare and pet care for the entire duration of what should have been our vacation, turn around and drive all the way home. VRBO customer service offered no additional services. Do not waste your money or time renting this property or using VRBO services. NEVER again.

Your vacation will be ruined if you rent this property

Don't rent this property. The homeowner collected all payments but canceled the reservation on the check-in day. We were left with no place to rent. This person should be removed from Vrbo so this doesn't happen to additional people.
