A modern city in the Paris suburbs, Aubervilliers has no less attractive old heritage and rich cultural life.
The Notre-Dame-des-Vertus is undoubtedly the most beautiful site in the whole city. It was located in the heart of the old centre and built in the fifteenth century under Francis. The windows, rebuilt after the destruction of World War II, reveal the different miracles that took place in the church. The instrumental part of its seventeenth organ, created by François-Henri Clicquot, was classified as Historic Monuments. The church was an important place of pilgrimage between the fourteenth century and the late eighteenth, following the appearance of the Virgin to a child in 1336.
Green spaces abound in Aubervilliers, like Stalingrad Square, installed in the nineteenth century. In particular, we discover a bandstand, a bowling area, or a body of water. The Canal Saint-Denis is also a promenade popular with city residents.
