Not as advertised
I’m betting this place was really nice in the 60s-80s. But it’s fallen hard since. We looked at the reservation, place looked nice enough for our layover until the cruise started. The first trouble we noticed was on the actual floor, doors had stickers on the outside like people lived in there. It reminded me of a housing project. Strike 2, was the entire floor had no hot water the first night. I went downstairs to purchase some soft drinks for my family out of the vending machine, which promptly stole my money. When I reported it to the front desk, the clerk told me to call the number on the front of the machine to get my money back as it was all services by a third party vendor. It took over 2 hours to get extra towels delivered to the room for baths. Bathrooms were dirty, pee stains on the lids. We rented 2 rooms for my wife and 5 kids, one of the rooms reeked of weed smell (undoubtedly from adjoining rooms circulating air ducts) which we then pulled all the kids into one room and slept for our last night. Food, at the bar was actually pretty good however. Admittedly, they are doing some renovations, and it was explained to me the ownership has changed 5 times in the last 4 years. I apologized to my wife and kids for putting them in a place like that. Next time, I’ll just spend the extra $100 for a room closer to the port.
