Family getaway at Lake Lure Beach

Relax and unwind in this comfortable condo across from North Carolina’s only mountain beach! Enjoy sunrises and sunsets on the deck. Take a stroll on the path around the beach or sit on a nearby bench to feed the ducks. Later, enjoy a glass of wine from a nearby vineyard (15min) or head up to Chimney Rock. Have an itch to hike or zip line, 100 miles of hiking trails surround the area and zip lining is less than 5 miles up the road. Hendersonville with its quaint downtown is 30 minutes away and Asheville is only 45 minutes away!

Living and Dining
What an amazing view we have with our large windows overlooking NC’s only mountain beach. Enjoy your morning coffee from our deck looking up at Chimney Rock and take in a gorgeous sunrise.

Enjoy a meal at our dining table. Challenge your friends or family to a game of cards or settle into assembling a large puzzle. We have several puzzles. We love puzzles.

Kitchen
The kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials for making breakfast to preparing full family meals. We have a full-size oven, dishwasher, standard fridge and microwave. Some of the items we keep stocked for your use include pots and pans, baking dishes, toaster, pots and pans, casserole dishes, storage containers for leftovers, wine and drinking glasses, mixing bowls, dish towels, and sharp knives. We offer filtered water and ice in the fridge.

Main Floor Bedroom - King bed
The bedroom is at the front of the house away from the other bedrooms. It offers a king bed with memory foam mattress, bamboo sheets and blinds for a good night's rest. Adjoining this bedroom is a comfortable sun room that doubles as an awesome study complete with desk and printer.

Second Bedroom - 1 Queen bed
The second bedroom that is located downstairs and is set up to remind you of being at the beach. The bed has a comfortable mattress and bamboo sheets. Blinds keep the room dark for a good night's rest. There is one large closet and one good size dresser to store your belongings.


Third Bedroom – The bunk room- twin over a full-size bed with a bonus of a twin-size trundle.
The third bedroom is also located downstairs and is set up to remind you of being at the lake and catching some good trout. The beds have comfortable mattresses and bamboo sheets. Blinds keep the room dark for a good night's rest. There is one large closet and one good size dresser to store your belongings. Adjoining this bedroom is a fun game room that takes you old school with classic Nintendo and NBA jam.

Bathrooms
Enjoy the use of the complimentary shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand soap, fluffy towels and 2 hair dryers. We have two and a half bathrooms, two are on the main level. A half bath located just off the kitchen and an on-suite bathroom inside the main floor bedroom. The other full-size bath is located downstairs for the two bedrooms to share. Our showers are HOT, just like we like them....although, obviously it is up to you to decide just how hot you want it.

Entertainment
Both levels have a 55” smart TV with Roku for your use. Or you can log in to your favorite streaming service.

WIFI + Work
We offer high speed wireless internet up to 1gig. Should you need to get some work done during your visit. Please understand that storms and an occasional high wind can interrupt the service.

Outdoors
Sit back and relax on one of the two decks to enjoy the view and a glass of wine. The upper deck includes rocking chair, a bar table and a Weber gas grill. The lower deck features a private hot tub that seats four comfortably. Or unwind, in the mesmerizing couple’s swing to discuss the day’s adventure.

Laundry + Cleaning
Washer and dryer are provided. We provide laundry detergent for your stay. We also provide rags and cleaning supplies, a vacuum, mop and broom should you need to clean up any spills.

FAQ's...

Do you offer early check-in or late check-outs?
- No. Our home is in high demand! We use this precious little time we have to prepare the home following the CDC Cleaning Guidelines, as well as to complete any maintenance tasks, so your stay is uninterrupted. If additional time is important to you, we recommend booking an additional night to your stay.

Do you allow luggage drop-off for early arrivals or late departures?
- No, unfortunately we are unable to offer luggage drop-off at this time.

Is the home suitable for children?
- Our home is great fun for children over the age of 5. We have stairs, two decks and a hot tub that will require supervision. This home is not a great option for younger children and mobile infants.

Can we go in the lake?
- Of course, you can! Please follow the Lake Lure guidelines for access.

Can we take a boat out on the lake?
- Yes, there are several boat rental companies near-by. If you decide to bring your own boat, you will need to arrange for off-site trailer parking.

Can we fish in the lake?
- YES! Please follow local ordinances on obtaining a fishing license.

Can we feed the ducks and geese?
- No! We ask that you not feed them bread as it is bad for their diet. Lake Lure prohibits feeding the birds as well as the BEARS!

Do you offer a cleaning service?
- Yes! If our schedule allows, we can accommodate additional cleaning services on a weekly basis, for an added cost. Just ask us!

Can I book on behalf of a friend, family member or co-worker?
- No. While we would love to host whoever you are booking for, we do need them to book for themselves with their own VRBO account. You can potentially earn travel credit by referring someone to book their first reservation with VRBO. Go to Account Settings and click on Invite Friends for more details.

Traveling for a Business Trip?
- For business trips or if you book travel for your company, VRBO allows designated bookers at companies enrolled in VRBO for Work to book trips on behalf of others.
