Within a distance of 30 km are the towns of Korsør, Slagelse and Næstved - each with an older town center and newer architecture. 7 km southwest of Skælskør is Stigsnæs, from where ferries run to the islands of Agersø and Omø, 2 charming islands with a cozy harbor ambience and pretty nature.
