Gracious hosts, beautiful quiet area, comfortable room and bed. Lovely property. What more could you want? Close to all the major attractions and fine dining. We will stay there again when we return to the area.
Deb and her daughters are excellent host! Deb made us feel like family while we were there. Property was just like stated and we will definitely stay there again if in the area
Our stay was relaxing & our host made us feel like we were part of the family. Our room was beautiful and very clean. We were able to use the kitchen when we needed to. And the coffee bar was available for our use. Thank you again for a wonderful stay and visit- we hope to see you all again next time!
Deb, the hostess is beyond friendly and helpful. Very warm atmosphere. We were towing a trailer that had a suspension problem and we needed to access a welder. Deb got on the phone to neighbors, and we were able to use a welder and get the problem fixed. Thats going above and beyond as a property host.
Greeted with, she didn’t know we had a reservation. Didn’t even get the room we booked. No toilet paper. No information on wi fi, tv. ( until we asked) fridge “was supposed to have been turned on? (we had food leftover from a restaurant we visited in Custer, which was amazing) happened to look down @1/2 later and the fridge wasn’t even plugged in.
Normally would not put a review but it was our 24th wedding anniversary and we were very disappointed.
But, we just made the best of it.
Would not stay again.
The hosts were absolutely the very best!!!! Our room was clean, bright and updated. The lodge is close to town and the trails for riding!! We loved our stay and will definitely return!!
It’s a great place to stay. It’s like a small community where are there are some long-term residence mixed in with the people who come and go. Denise, the property manager, is great and on site. It was a very enjoyable stay.
This property is unique in many ways. A bit dated but just what we were looking for. The large porch, beds and of course Denise the property manager made this a very memorable stay!!
Such a great time at Star Lodge, just what we were hoping for. Meeting new friends and sharing our lives like we have known our new friends for many years. Highly recommend Star lodge. Thank you for the wonderful memories. The Burton’s
My wife and I stayed in Star Lodge Suite 8 for 3 nights while hiking and seeing area attractions. Owner Deb and her daughters were super friendly and helpful. We used the kitchen and fridge, back deck and gas grill, and large front porch. The kitchen especially was useful for preparing our lunches for the day and the one dinner we grilled and ate on the back deck. Mornings we had coffee and our breakfast on the front porch, which is conducive to chatting with other guests. It's on the highway (just outside of Custer) so you'll see the traffic coming and going. The room was very comfy with its own bathroom. There is a curtain separating the bathroom instead of the usual door and the sink is located in the room itself. A little unusual perhaps but it worked fine. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again.
