Perfect for the whole family, this classic Northstar retreat boasts rustic vibes while still offering all of the modern conveniences you need to feel right at home. As soon as you arrive, you will be greeted by the tall ceilings, accommodating living area complete with a flatscreen TV, and a full kitchen boasting a gas range, beautiful countertops, and all of the tools needed to whip up tasty meals after a day on the slopes. When everyone returns to home base at the end of each day, the private patio will be just the place to sip an evening cocktail and three spacious bedrooms await for a bit of shut-eye!

Enjoy access to the Northstar recreation center amenities, which include tennis courts, basketball courts, a fitness center, a sauna, a hot tub, a seasonal lap pool, and an open grill area next to a beautiful creek surrounded by pine, fir, and aspen trees. (Site rentals include the use of three picnic tables and up to two gas BBQ grills with grilling utensils.) There is a $10 daily fee per person for use of the facilities.

Sitting just one mile north of the village and lifts at Northstar, this home will be ideal for the skiers of the group to get their fill of fresh powder in no time. A shuttle service is also available from home base, so don't worry about having to find parking. If you want to head into town, the heart of Truckee awaits with eclectic shops, eateries, and cafes just over seven miles north. If a day on the lake is on the agenda, Kings Beach is eight miles away where you can fish, boat, and swim in Lake Tahoe's famous blue water.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Northstar Condo

Nice location, plenty of room. Kitchen very functional. No air conditioning, but fans made it okay in middle of June. All bathrooms and bathrooms are downstairs with kitchen, living and dining areas upstairs, so not great if you find stairs difficult. The second bathroom is tucked under the stairs and very tiny, but functional, especially for kids. Good value for the price.

The four of us stayed at the condo for three nights and everything was wonderful. It was clean and appeared to be well maintained. We would stay at the condo again in the future.

Northstar Gold Bend Condo

The condo was in a great location for our ski trip to Northstar. Being on the Northstar property with access to the shuttle service and the village was very nice. The interior of the condo was a bit dated, but it seems to be priced with that in mind. It was clean and comfortable- except we could not use the fireplace since we had not known to bring wood for it.

Creaky cozy cabin

This cabin was what was expected for the great price. It was stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen, beds and bath. It was clean and convenient. The furniture is “rustic” but fine. The beds are not that great but they were fine. The TV didn’t have many channels/any smart TV option so thankfully we brought our kids switch to plug in and play. The coffee maker is a pot/keurig maker. The title “creaky” was just because you can hear footsteps around the cabin in the bedrooms but not the end of the world. Overall our small fam would stay again for a cost efficient convenient cabin at Northstar.

The place was clean. But otherwise was in disrepair. There were broken cabinet doors in the kitchen. The shower door was broken. The stuffed chair was ripped. Several of the dining room chairs had broken legs. What upset is most was that the "shared spa" in the condo title was, in fact, not included.

DO NOT STAY HERE!

Absolutely awful experience - do not stay here! Northstar is a cute area but the property itself has many issues. The unit did not have properly running heat, had leaks in the ceiling, terrible power system (multiple surges) and just was an awful experience. We asked for a credit after the ceiling leaked and ruined my mom's pillow and blanket and were given nothing. Do not waste your time staying here!

Seriously outdated

This condo is in serious need of an update. The furniture is old and worn, and looks like it was from the 70s. It was blazing hot with no air conditioning. For $1,000/weekend, I would expect way more. Also, they did not provide any information or pass to use the great rec center and pool area, which requires reservations. We finally figured it out, but that needs to be part of the listing/reservation process. Very disappointed.

Clean mostly but could use some TLC

First, I understand that you get what you pay for and this was one of the more affordable places that fit our criteria. We were there in Dec of 2022 for a ski racing event. We aren't high maintenance but there are a few simple things that would have made our stay much better. I'll start with the good: *The condo was for the most part clean. *The kitchen was about as well equipped as we are accustom to seeing. And all items were clean. *Very easy access to Northstar ski area - the shuttle system is one of the best and easiest I've seen. *Bathrooms were clean and water was hot. Now the things that should be fixed: *Condo could really use some updating. Furniture is old and worn. Carpets too. *There were previous guests socks and what I think were toilet paper ear plugs under my bed. Obviously no one checked under the beds on the last housekeeping visit. *Bed linens are in bad need of replacement - worn, old and some pillowcases were ripped. *Internet was terrible. In all fairness this could be a bandwidth issue outside of anyone's control, but I wasn't able to do any work while there because the connection from Charter kept dropping. *No information of any kind was provided in the condo. One of the things we wanted to do was go to the rec center mentioned in the listing. I called the Vacasa number trying to get more info and they don't know anything about it. It's just a call center unlike the owner with Airbnb. We ended up finding it by finding the HOA website and tracking it down. You need a fob to park in the gated lot for the rec center and there isn't one provided. It's about a mile from the condo and the shuttles stop at 6pm. So not ideal getting there unless you can park in the reserved lot. Also, it's not free. I think the listing fails to mention that it's another $8 per person per day. It is a decent facility but not sure it's worth an additional $8 per day. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but probably would look at something else if we return. Lastly, and this is really a Vacasa thing - read your contract fine print. Vacasa cancelled our first night because they couldn't get the condo turned due to weather. We had to stay in another hotel our first night at a premium last minute rate. Vacasa does not refund for any reason - including if they cancel on you. They did offer me a credit for a future stay, but I would really prefer a refund and I think if they are unable to meet your check in date or for any other reason can't provide the full term of the reservation, then they should refund the lost days. It will certainly be a consideration of mine for any future Vacasa bookings.

Easy check in instructions. House was great location near resort and shuttle was easy to use. Dishwasher didn’t actually clean the dishes had to wash them by had it needs repair. The 10 fee per person at rec center should be more clear in the ad. The photos make it seem like the hot tub is on location. Instructions to take trash to the rec center as well jot really clear as it said to use key card and the only dumpster over there is outside the center.

Location was great, but the stay not so much. The shower in the hallway bathroom downstairs barely got above cold and the shower head needs some attention as it was spraying everywhere. We all decided to take turns showering in the other bathroom instead in order to get a hot shower. Another issue, was that the spray nozzle from the sink doesn't work. The downstairs carpet had an interesting feel and smell to it. This place was not ideal for the price. We'll try another spot next time.

Beautiful property. The shower in one of the bathrooms is broken. They did fix it the next day. The dishwasher leaked into the room below where my sons were sleeping.

Everything was great!!! Great vacations!! Equipped with plates, cups, pots, pans, blender, little oven, basically everything you need, plus a gas barbecue pit 🥩 🍔 in the balcony!! 😋 Upstairs it’s a little warm, summer upstairs weather without AC, but they do have fans available. They have firewood so I really want to come back in the winter ❄️ when there’s snow cause I noticed they have skis ⛷ , snow sleds, and a lot of fun snow stuff. Pools and amenities are really nice but it is $8 per person.

Did not ever receive a call from the owner. Family member struggled with stairs and had to remain in one room downstairs where the bathrooms are. No air conditioning, hot as hell!!!!
