About this property

Beach & Equestrian living with community pool, jacuzzi, gym, & pickleball courts

I bought this house after living at the beach for 20 years. I was tired of the marine layer fog during May, June, and July. Located in a private gate-guarded community, it is only 8 minutes to both Dana Point and San Clemente beaches, and 3 minutes to the freeway. Mountain bike and hiking trails are steps away. The house has travertine floors downstairs and vinyl plank flooring upstairs. I just remodeled the bathrooms too. There are 3 bedrooms with a downstairs office which you can work from. The backyard is actually bigger than it looks and is perfect for outdoor dining. There's a built-in gas BBQ so you don't have to worry about propane. The house is equipped with everything you would need for family fun as it's my home and I have 4 grandkids. We would go to the beach and then head to the pool/jacuzzi afterward. There is a public golf course 2 minutes away and a pool, jacuzzi, workout room, pickleball courts, basketball courts, and playgrounds within the community. Downtown San Juan Capistrano is amazingly fun with great restaurants and nightlife. 31-day rental. No cats. No smoking on premises inside or outside. Am allergic. Dogs okay. Must abide by CC&R's and Rules and Regulations.

Beautiful Home and Perfect Hostess! 🌟

Sherron’s beautiful home was the perfect place for my family to stay while in town for a horse show nearby. Sherron was the perfect hostess and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and made lots of great recommendations and suggestions for us, which helped immensely. Loved the neighborhood — so convenient and lots to do! Couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend! We hope to come back soon!

Great Stay in SJC!

Sherron's home was a lovely place to stay......elegant, yet cozy and comfortable. It was well-stocked for an extended visit. It was also dog-friendly, which was a plus! The neighborhood is very nice, and the location is just a short drive to dining, beaches, shopping, etc. Sherron was wonderful to work with. Communication was easy and she went above and beyond in providing great info/recommendations for restaurants, beaches, local entertainment and attractions, and day trips. Thanks Sherron!

Wonderful Month in San Juan Capistrano

Sherron's home was nearly perfect for our month long stay. The home lives up to the photos and is comfortably decorated, fully updated, very clean and was stocked with everything we could need. The Wifi easily accommodated us both working remotely on video. The outside living space was equally nice with flowering plants and vines abounding. I don't think we ate a single meal inside during our stay. The neighborhood was equally marvelous, well kept and safe. The neighbors were also extremely nice. There is very easy access to the trail system in the hills. The hikes and views were amazing. Sherron's home is also relatively convenient to local shopping, the 5 and the beach. We had our three dogs with us and, although there was no grass on the property, the area is extremely user friendly for pups. The bottom line is we were very sorry to have to depart, but hope to be back next year.

Hopefully, you can enjoy my home as much as I do and have a great vacation.

Why they chose this property

Bought this place after 20 years at the beach. Tired of the marine layer that doesn't lift until 2 pm. Here I wake up and I feel like I am in the country with hills for hiking and mountain biking outside my development. The best beaches in Orange County and I've lived here for over 40 years, are Salt Creek beach, Laguna Beach, and San Clemente beach...all minutes away. The freeway is 3 minutes away and we are halfway between San Diego and Los Angeles. You can even take the train to San Diego or Los Angeles if you want to do a day trip. Can send you a whole list of things to do and where to go after you book so that you can plan your vacation. You can even do a day trip up to Big Bear and hike up in the mountains.

Minutes away from the beach and incredible hiking trails. Pool, jacuzzi, workout room. Safe and quiet neighborhood. Minutes away from downtown San Clemente, SJC, and Laguna restaurants and nightlife. San Juan even has a mini zoo for kids with train rides, pony rides, and a petting zoo. Huge playground nearby for young kids to play. House even has a doggie door for your pet to do his business. Just please clean up.
