About this property
Panoramic Views, Hot Tub, Sleeps 8
Laird’s Landing sits atop Cordillera Mountain, a one-of-a-kind location that offers wide-open mountaintop views and even a glimpse of Broken Bow Lake. With only a handful of cabins in Cordillera, this hidden favorite is perfect for the discerning traveler seeking space, privacy, and luxury. Few properties can compare with the expansive setting and breathtaking scenery this upscale location provides. While many Broken Bow cabins sit on crowded one-acre lots, Laird’s Landing rests high on a ridge on 3.5 private acres, fronting the Ouachita National Forest. Access is easy with paved roads leading all the way to the cabin, even as you ascend off 259A into the Cordillera outback. Along the way, you may spot deer, raccoons, and other wildlife. As you near the ridge, keep an eye out for the cerulean waters of Broken Bow Lake, dotted with islands and framed by tall pines. At arrival, a new concrete driveway welcomes you with ample parking and turnaround space—ideal for guests traveling with boats or watercraft.
This mountaintop retreat is designed for taking in nature and slowing down. Listen to the wind weaving through pines and hardwoods, or unwind across three spacious patios, each with unique vantage points and seating. The front porch is perfect for morning coffee while watching deer return to the forest. The large open west-facing patio overlooks a hand-laid stone fire pit—an ideal setting during golden hour as the sun sets behind the hilltops. For evening gatherings, head to the covered rear patio, which flows seamlessly into the outdoor living area. This space looks toward a jacuzzi gazebo perched over the ridge and a striking stone fireplace with a spearhead design above the mantle—a subtle tribute to the Choctaw Indians who once lived and hunted these hills.
Step inside and be greeted by 25-foot cathedral ceilings and towering windows that fill the home with light and bring the outdoors in. The spacious great room combines with a chef’s kitchen featuring a massive 6x12-foot solid granite island, a five-burner gas cooktop, and a double oven—equipped for everything from simple breakfasts to gourmet meals. The interior balances classic farmhouse design with Native American-inspired accents, anchored by an 80-inch TV, a stacked-stone fireplace, and exposed pine rafters.
Three bedrooms branch from the great room. On one side, a king bedroom and queen bedroom share a Jack-and-Jill bath. On the other side, the master suite features a king bed, its own stacked-stone fireplace, and vaulted ceilings. In total, the three bedrooms sleep six guests comfortably. Additional options include two rollaway beds, a queen air mattress, and a full bath near the kitchen, bringing capacity to 8–10. Each bathroom features timeless slate tile and rustic cabinetry, combining warmth with upscale comfort.
For entertainment, the cabin includes a 12-foot shuffleboard table in the living area, along with outdoor games. Adventurers will love the private hiking opportunities that lead directly down to some of the most scenic stretches of the upper Mountain Fork River. After a day exploring Broken Bow, return to Laird’s Landing for campfires, s’mores, stargazing, a soak in the hot tub, and unforgettable family moments.
