Hello wizards and welcome to Hogwarts! Come play at Professor McGonagall's mansion if you dare to make your Columbus stay truly magical.

The entire house is enchantingly decorated with plenty to do. The game room has shuffleboard and three arcade cabinets. Each bedroom has its own Smart TV.

Want to relax outside? Our backyard has a shaded pavilion with plenty of seating. Located in Southern Orchards, an urban neighborhood near Nationwide Children’s Hospital, German Village, the Brewery District and downtown Columbus.

15% off stays of 7 nights or more. 15 min to airport, 10 min to OSU.

PARKING: Off street parking for three cars behind the house. Additional free on-street parking anywhere on the street in front of the house.

CAMERAS: In order to prevent parties, there are two Ring cameras on the property that record all motion in the front and back yards. They are attached to the front door and back porch of the house and face outward so they cannot record the interior of the house in any way.

This was a great stay for 2 eleven year old girls and me. Every detail in the home from the ceilings to the wallpaper to the owls that are on shelves. We loved the arcade games and the girls loved the different themed rooms. Besides being aesthetically pleasing, it’s a really comfortable home. The beds are really comfortable and the 2 larger rooms have their own AC. It’s located in a quiet neighbirniid.

Sister trip

My sister and I stayed here as a half way meeting point for her to move back with her mom in Tennessee. We really enjoyed the atmosphere with the Harry Potter theme. Very comfortable and relaxing. Thank you so much Sam.

Magical Stay at McGonagall’s Mansion!

We had an amazing time at this Harry Potter-themed house in Columbus, Ohio. The decor was incredible, making us feel like we were truly in the wizarding world. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed, from a fully equipped kitchen to a fun game room. The backyard was perfect for relaxing, and the hosts were very welcoming. Highly recommend for any Harry Potter fans looking for a unique stay!

Great themed place to crash

The family loved the decorations. This is an old house in an old neighborhood but they did a great job with comfortable furniture and quality fixtures. Great place to spend some down time between doing all the family activities around Columbus. Kitchen had the basics to prep simple meals. The house is small but plenty of space to relax together or separately. It was clean, cute and comfortable.

Very Impressive

The house was more than expected. Great stay for all die hard Harry Potter fans. We did not have time to truly enjoy the house. I suggest this house for teens and young adults. Very good for families.

Harry Potter House

I’m going to start with saying the house was clean where it mattered. Beds, bathroom, kitchen seemed clean. The location was good near places we wanted to go. When we first arrived I was a little iffy with the neighborhood. With that being said we felt safe during our stay. The owner or contact was great and very prompt with any questions. Game room was fun.

Harry Potter movie marathon weekend

We rented this magical location to watch the final HP movies with our kids. We had a fantastic time. The beds were comfortable and the attention to magical detail was amazing. The neighborhood streets are narrow but we navigated them fine and felt safe. The games in the game room were a blast and all worked! AC and heat worked great. TVs easy to use. Comfortable recliners in the living room. Hosts were easy to communicate with. Back gate closure needs updated, but we were able to close it and felt safe. Could use kitchen towels and additional large trash bag for kitchen.

Just As Advertised!

The place is a whimsical wonderland. You have an idea of what to expect by the photos, but walking in for the first time really does exceed them. The stay was great; went to Columbus with friends for a bachelor party. The place was able to sleep four dudes, have a game room where we spent our late nights winding down, and comfortable chairs and couch for watching a sporting event. Sam was a great host, reached out right as we arrived and communicated the entire stay. Very close to downtown and the convention center/expo. You won't regret a visit here!

Great spot for any Harry Potter fan!

We always take our girls somewhere within an hour or two drive for a few days over spring break. Weve been reading the harry potter series to them and are on book 6. They love all things HP and this house did not dissapoint! Its unassuming from the outside, in a residential neighborhood close to lots of things. As soon as you open the door youre transported to hogwarts. Video games kept us parents occupied as well as shuffleboard. We had a great time and would recommend this house to anyone looking for something different in columbus!

Absolutely Magical

Stop looking and book a stay at this house! We enjoyed this house so much. I wish I had the talent to decorate like this. Everything was perfect - the house was super clean and comfortable. Decor is so fun! Beds were super upgraded mattresses. Reclining chairs were fantastic after a long hard day. So many fun decor items and the video games are so fun. The back yard is great with lots of comfort and fun items. Host is wonderful - responds very quickly and definitely knows how to make guests feel welcome and appreciated. 5 Star ++++++ We can’t wait to stay here again next time our travels take us to Columbus!

Needs serious TLC

Cleanliness of property could have been much better dirty socks laying around. Many broken items/pieces around property that need addressed back gate does not latch front porch has a chair that is completely broken. Side gate takes 2 people to closed and latch with screws hanging out of wall. Decor falling off of walls nails and staples exposed. Remotes missing from a couple TVs had to share one remote. Horrible smell coming from sink/garbage disposal.

“Booked a Vacation, Got a Live PD Episode”

Looking for a true crime documentary in real time? Look no further! We booked 5 nights, made it through 1. Our DoorDash driver straight-up stole our food (bonus feature), and the next morning we woke to an FBI standoff across the street—guns, roadblocks, the full show. Not listed in the amenities.The hosts were nice, but apparently unaware they live in a Grand Theft Auto expansion pack. Neighborhood vibes? Think abandoned houses, busted cars, and a grocery store cast straight from The Walking Dead.The house? Musty, tilted like a funhouse, with beds made of sorrow and plywood. Decor covers every inch of wall—probably to distract from the fact the place is falling apart. Definitely a cash grab, not a cozy retreat.Wouldn’t stay again unless I’m filming a survival reality show.

McGonagall’s Mansion is a lovely place. Very well decorated in the Harry Potter world. You can tell the owner is a fan. The host, Sam, is very fast and responsive on issues that arise. Pros-Location, it is in the south-east side of Columbus and near the freeway. But not to close for noise, lots of food options and places to see close by. The kitchen is nice with big refrigerator, lots of counter space. Love the video games, and TV’s with lots of streaming apps. Cons- Listing says sleeps 8 but only has 2 king beds and 1 single, 5 plate/cup/bowls/glass’s so have to wash dish’s constantly. Says Smart beds but the 2 King units don’t currently work and are in need of updating- hard as a rock. Steps in front starting to show age with pieces missing and back railing falling apart. Remotes and light switch’s aren’t labeled so some are hard to figure out. Listing shows washer/dryer which is a combo single unit but no detergent. Kitchen devices need some help- Blender only half, no electric Kettle, and no dishwasher detergent.

As advertised! Great visit!

We mainly needed just a place nearby Lou Berliner Sports Park to relax inbetween softball games. And my family all love Harry Potter, so this was perfect. The owners put a lot of attention to detail into this houses creation. My wife kept finding neat things. Their communication with me was perfect. I had the choice of cell phone or email, at any time. The beds were all very comfortable. They had a nice grill with 3 tanks ready to go. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to use it. There is enough room for a coupole cars comfortably behind the house. We did play some arcade games and shuffleboard. A lot of fun. If you are a serious about shuffleboard, know that it's very used. Thanks again for the communication and making sure everything was ok.

Something unique!

I stayed in this house with some friends to catch a game at the SHOE. This house was perfect for our group, and a good alternative to hotel rooms. We got lucky with the weather so the patio was great and the Harry Potter theme was fun. Classic video games and shuffleboard got plenty of late-night use. The location worked with a short Uber ride into the stadium area. Highly recommend for any age.

Everything was good. Very clean. Plenty of stuff to do. Kids very much enjoyed themselves. Backyard the weeds was bad. But that it. I would recommend this house to anyone. Thanks for a great vacation.
