Animal hair/Bad smell/Mildew Shower
The chalet scenery is amazing! However, there were several issues. We arrived after the office had closed. We were super tired from our drive and went straight to bed. There were no electricity upstairs upon our arrival. My husband had to find the breaker box which was located outside to restore power in the middle of the night. Upon entering, a strong soured smell was overwhelming but I could not locate the smell. We headed up stairs and went to sleep. The next morning my husband did our final check-in before inspecting the chalet further. There were mildew in the shower and the shower head was crusty and nasty! Luckily a friend of ours was staying in town and allowed us to use her shower or our whole weekend would have been ruined. We left a day early because we would have no where to shower on Sunday and when putting the one hand towel in the wash as instructed, I located the smell. The washer/dryer smelled beyond soured. It was overwhelming! While packing, my oldest son sat on the couch and got pet hair all over his hoodie. This was advertised as a "no pet" chalet. The hot tub cover looked like it was worn out and the firepit was full of burned wood and ash so had we stayed, we could not used the firepit because it was not cleaned out. Needs serious cleaning!
Overall, we would definitely stay here again. You can’t beat the view and there are only a few cabins in the area. The only snafu we had was the heating element went in the hot tub so we did not get to use it. They did respond quickly when reported and tried to offer tickets to activities to make up for the inconvenience.
