About this property

Come with friends and enjoy the peace and quiet that our house radiates.

On the edge of the Horner Basin, not far from Horn, lies the small town of Mödring, which Century was also a tusks village. The remains of the dry stone walls that have now been recaptured from the forest date from this period. The house, which has been authentically renovated in loving detail over the past few years, was built in 1636 and offers space for 7 people with a living space of 110m². The three bedrooms are furnished with beds as follows:
1 bedroom with a double bed (180x200) + single bed (90x190)
1 bedroom with a French bed (140x200) + crib (portable)
1 bedroom with sofa bed (140x200)
For cozy warmth, the tiled stove in the living room can be fired in addition to the central heating in the cold season: the wood for this is provided. A TV with satellite receiver is available for rainy days. The leather couch can also be used as an additional bed.
There is a bathroom (bath + shower + hair dryer) with toilet, a bathroom (shower, washing machine) without toilet and a toilet with urinal accessible from the aisle.
The solid wood table designed for eight people in the fully equipped kitchen (electric stove, dishwasher, kettle, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee machine, dishes for 12 people) invites you to sit together. A high chair is also available.
There is space for a car in the covered driveway. Another parking space is in front of the house.  The green inner courtyard, which is not visible from the outside, invites you to relax or even have a barbecue. A Weber kettle grill is available.
Haus Julia is a non-smoking house, we kindly ask you to respect this fact.
The Mödring panorama circular hiking trail leads past Haus Julia in a quiet location at the end of the village.

Angenehme Tage in einem charmanten Bauernhaus im Waldviertel, eine wunderbare Kombination eines gepflegten, altehrwürdigen Hauses in Kombination mit modernem Komfort in Küche und Sanitärräumen. Ideal für die Urlaubstage mit unserem Hund ist der abgeschlossene Innenhof mit Garten sowie die Möglichkeit die am Haus vorbeiführenden Spazier/Wanderwege zu nutzen.Als Saisoneröffner 2025 waren wir über das bereits vorgeheizte Haus sehr erfreut - nur ein Beispiel wie sich die Familie Kierbauer im Detail um das Wohl ihrer Gäste kümmert!

Da wir das Einsame lieben,waren wir dort genau richtig . Die Wanderwege liegen direkt vor der Türe, für uns optimal. Mit den Vermietern fand eine sehr freundliche Kommunikation in jeder Hinsicht statt . Egal wo wir hin kamen waren die Menschen sehr freundlich und zu einem Plausch aufgelegt .....selbst beim Einkauf an der Kasse. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen ,nur schade das die Entfernung sehr weit ist .......

Ferienhaus mit Charme und Geschichte

Das Kleinod hat sich zum Glück nicht verändert, die Ursprünglichkeit des Gebäudes ist auch weiterhin geblieben, so wie wir es von unserem letzten Aufenthalt kannten. Für Besuche mit Tieren ist der komplett umschlosse Innenraum mit Himmelsdach ideal.

Das Domozil entsprach in nur spärlicher Weise dem, was in der homepage dargestellt wurde. Domizil ungepflegt Domizil nicht geputzt und mit Spinnweben behaftet. Mobilar war teilweise vom Flohmarkt Aufteilung der Zimmer unvorteilhaft Garten total verwildert Zugang vom Haus mit Schrittplatten, bei Regenwetter läuft man im Matsch, auch für Gehbehinderte eine Zumutung Fernseher ohne Mediathek und ohne Bluetooth und mit teilweise nicht funktionierendem Antennenanschluss. Gastgeber waren offensichtlich nicht an uns interessiert (obwohl sie nur unweit gewohnt haben) im Gegensatz zu deren Landsleuten, die immer sehr hilfsbereit waren.

Wunderschönes und liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus mit abgeschlossenem Grundstück. Perfekt für Hundebesitzer. Sehr nette Vermieter. Das Waldviertel mit vielen Wanderwegen und Ausflugszielen hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wien ist etwa 1 Autostunde entfernt. Ein rundherum schöner Urlaub.

Ein sehr gemütliches, mit liebevollen Details ausgestattetes Haus. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt und haben eine sehr erholsame Woche verlebt. Wer mit Hunden reist, ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben: der kleine hübsche Hof, wo die Vierbeiner nicht ausbüxen können und die schönen Wege direkt vom Haus aus - so gefällt es den Zweibeinern und den Fellnasen.

Gastgeber sehr nett und zuvorkommend, das Haus aus dem 17.Jhdt liebevoll restauriert und eingerichtet mit allem Komfort, der uneinsehbare Innenhofgarten wunderschön und perfekt zum Chillen für Mensch und Haustiere, die Umgebung toll fùr Wanderungen im kùhlen Wald an Bàchen....auch für Leute ohne Auto ideal, da Horn nur 3 km Fußweg. Bisher das schönste Ferienhaus, das wir gemietet haben seit Jahren. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
