About the host
Hosted by Anne-Marie Feikema
I had been looking for a mobile home for several years. Mom is getting older (b 1936) and Dad is in assisted living (b1931) and they both live in Naples, Florida. Should Mom no longer be independent, she can come and live in this home, which is close to me. I am retired and live very close to The National Cemetery in Sarasota, about ten minutes from the house.
We have been in Florida for about ten years, after moving from Michigan. We truly appreciate the extra 100 days of sunshine, as well as the cheerful attitude of the locals. In the time that we have lived here, there has been a huge building boom. I miss the feel of soft grass, but not the blowing cold that renders coats worthless.
Why they chose this property
This is one of two homes in the complex that do not have a home behind it. It is private. This complex is conveniently located near I-75, but it is still quiet at the house. It is a tight knit community of people that look out for each other, but aren't nosy, so Mom would be safe here.
What makes this property unique
There are many activities in the community, so you will never be bored! The complex is very well kept and the people are nice. It's a great place to walk, bicycle, swim and run.
