Wonderful experience. 2nd time we stayed in this cabin. Doug communicates door codes and clear instructions in advance, the cabin is well appointed and maintained. Instruction book on the counter. Kitchen and bathrooms well stocked. Welcoming delicacy was phenomenal. Beds are comfy. Location is central. We love it here. Great cabin, experience and hosts.
We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay at the cabin. The attention to detail with the recent remodel is evident and everything was very clean. We appreciated the suggestions from Doug and Kathy during our stay! They also were very responsive. Thanks again Kathy and Doug for a great stay and we hope be back up at the cabin sometime soon!!
Our hosts went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a great one. The property is fantastic and has everything you could need. One of the best VRBO stays our family has had. Thank you Kathy and Doug.
Loved staying here, we did not want to leave. Our kids really enjoyed their stay as well including our 9 month. They loved having their own space and access to board games, no need for tv viewing. We felt right at home, especially in the kitchen. The kitchen was set up with all the equipment we needed to enjoy our meals. Would definitely recommend families if you need a get away
Just an overall great experience. The property is in perfect shape when you walk in... the house, the deck and everything all the way down to the utensils is just top of the line and in great condition. The owners are so accommodating. They were very responsive before, during and even after pretty much trying to ensure that we had the best experience. If there was a way to give more than 5 stars, this property and the owners deserve it.
We had a wonderful stay at this property! The home is beautiful with tasteful, minimalist decor (my favorite). The beds and pillows are super comfortable, and there is plenty of comfortable seating for all of us (5 adults)! We had everything we needed in the kitchen and the bathrooms, and the master bath shower is incredible. Our favorite spot is the back deck! It is a great place for coffee in the morning, reading or chatting during the daytime, and wine in the evening. It is surrounded by trees with a distant view of the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would not hesitate to stay again, and would highly recommend the property to others!
My husband and I and 2 of our adult children stayed at this property following the wedding of our eldest son. We figured we would get a basic place since we planned to do hiking and go to the lake and basically not be around very much. It turned out that we were in dire need of some rest and relaxation after all the festivities and when we walked into this place we were blown away! It was beyond basic and even better than the photos on the website. Every aspect of this home seemed to be the result of careful thought and planning. The decor is tasteful, the beds and bedding are top notch, the kitchen is very well stocked with dishes, glasses, pots and pans, cooking utensils, and silverware. The hosts were very responsive to the few questions we had and very welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the near future!
This home was more than we expected. Apparently, the owners remodeled recently and it SHOWS. It's very well designed and seems like the owners put thought into almost every detail a group could need when staying in Tahoe. Very clean and cozy. Great media set up. Beautiful views from front balcony patio (off the living room) and a cute little back patio off the upstairs back room. Two large comfy king beds, one full (queen maybe?) and one twin bed, as well as 2.5 baths, which was awesome. Coffee maker, tons of pots/pans and cooking utensils, extra blankets/pillows/towels everywhere, great grill and grilling tools, great patio furniture kept clean with covers - we wanted for nothing. Seriously would want to move in, if we could! We were all SO sad to leave :( Thank you so much for sharing your home!
This is a newer listing , so as such there were no reviews , when we were making our decision on where to spend the winter getaway during X-mas break. I reached out to the owners (Doug & Kathy) and received an immediate response! This thoughtfulness and high level of communication continued any after booking and leading to our arrival. The hosts were even able to accommodate us with a slightly early arrival time, as we were pressed to get into town in between snow storms. Upon arrival the home was spotless , with the heaters on!
Note the owners are local , and reside up the street. This was actually beneficial as Doug, is mindful of property upkeep , even coming over one morning and snow blowing out the driveway and main deck area. (our only suggestion would be to give guests an fyi upon check-in that this may occur)
The layout of the home is intimate , yet spacious. Our group of 5 had plenty of room to spread out and relax. Having just been remodeled ( very stylish and modern touches) the furnishings were in great shape and comfortable. The home was well stocked with ample supplies and toiletries.
The location was ideal for our needs. We had no need to leave the property to take the kids sledding, as we were able to spend each day doing this in the back yard. Doug even brought over a couple of extra sleds!!
With its close location to our favorite beaches, we look forward to making more great memories at this residence. We are already planning to come back for our annual summer vacay!
This place is dreamy. We really wish we could move in! Home is clean, light and airy with a luxury feel. Everything is quality- the AC, tupperware, pans, salt shakers, pillows, blankets, fixtures, molding, furniture, mirrors, showers, towels, you name it! They provide games, books and extra cushy blankets. We stayed here with our 2 year old son, and 8 and 12 year old daughters for 4 nights. They loved playing in the small crawl spaces in each room. By around 8 a.m. the deck is sunny, so if you want an early morning light experience, go out before then! Yoga and games on the deck were so enjoyable! Couch and ottoman are perfect for family snuggles! The surround sound speakers are awesome! Kitchen is well stocked. I messaged beforehand to see if they had a certain sized pan, and they didn't, so she brought one over from her own house and had it waiting on the counter! Owner showed great communication and support-I felt very taken care of. Having 3 toilets and 2 fancy rain showers was amazing! We had a busy schedule at the lake for a family reunion, I wish we could have just stayed at the cabin the whole time! It made our guests "drool" when they stopped by. Only suggestions are add a lock to the "exit" door upstairs. (it was kinda nerve wracking to know our little guy could sneak up there and open a window to the roof) and provide smaller washcloths for the kitchen and an apron (I know they would have brought these over if we had asked!). We really want to come again!!
