Bluebird was the relaxing getaway we needed! Enjoyed the updated southern charm & Ann’s hospitality! Georgetown is the perfect mid-way point between Charleston & Myrtle Beach! We were able to see & do so much in the few days we were there!
We stayed Thursday 6/24 - Sunday 6/27. The home is very comfortable with great ceiling fans and cool A/C!! The bedrooms have plenty of space and the beds are comfortable!
The neighborhood is super quiet and we enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evenings. We didn’t notice any loud vehicles or noises from the traffic on the streets. The front yard is fenced and very spacious. And there was plenty of room for us to park our truck and ATV trailer in the back off of Beck street, with easy access in and out. We enjoyed our stay and we think you will too!
Just as described. Very quiet neighborhood. House was clean and comfortable.

We Loved this cozy old cottage. Close to everything but quiet. Very Clean. Felt like we stepped back in time. Beautiful old live oaks in the yard. we will be back. 10/10!
This Bed and Breakfast was like a fairy tale getaway for our family. The beautiful pictures of the space were absolutely true to reality, only they can't quite convey the full charm of the old home with its mixture of modern convenience and lovely decor w/ the creaking of old wood flooring and the shine of an old banister. One night we had a HUGE thunderstorm and I lay sleeping with my youngest in the larger upper guest bed and felt like I was Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz about to get carried away!--with the lightning visible from the windows and the eaves above the bed offering a Dolby stereo experience of the thunder and rain. I found it highly romantic. The antique dressers and other furniture pieces, drapery, and rugs are really tasteful and elegant. The kitchen is just the perfect size for a group of, say, 4-6 (my group was 4) and the single bath has a lot of character, well-stocked with all kinds of towels. We were worried about having to share a bathroom, but found it no trouble at all. The front porch is set-up for some nice relaxing "chill" time, conversation, or card playing (etc.) but we found the mosquitos a deterrent. Note to all: BRING MOSQUITO REPELLANT!!! The star of the house is the huge live oak in front which is so exquisite it's breathtaking. We liked the fenced-in front yard for our dog and we liked the back entrance (where we parked) with its accessibility to a laundry space that easily serves as a "mud (sand?) room," leading into the kitchen. The fridge is large and brand new. The dishes, towels, and other supplies well in order. Our dream would be to see a Keurig coffee maker on the kitchen island instead of the very basic drip brewer that was there, which we were not able to succeed in using effectively (we tried twice). We DO imagine that our hostess would have surely helped with that had we asked her about it--because she responded beautifully to what we DID ask her about: from local restaurants and eateries to help when we accidentally locked ourselves out of the house! She always answered very quickly, within the hour, and mobilized her people admirably to help us get back into the house. She was a great hostess. We found downtown Georgetown to be very charming, in particular, the Shipping Museum and the Homemade Chocolates and IceCream Shoppe. We would have taken a tour but it did not work out with our schedule. Having the Grocery Store, literally around the corner was really, really great perk.
Our family had a nice stay at this charming historical home central to a lot of tourist spots. We were only 20 minutes or so away from Pawley’s Island and Huntington State Park, an hour from Myrtle Beach, and only a little farther to Charleston.
There was space to spread out, and lots of great bedding options! Laundry was also very convenient. Host was quick to respond to concerns. The only drawback, that is due to the age of the property I’m sure, is there is just one bathroom.
We stayed with our infant and three year old, and I think it’s worth noting this property is probably not ideal for children. Our kids were at the perfect ages (5 months and 3 years) to not yet be overly mobile / be mature enough not to get into things, but it would be difficult to babyproof if traveling with young children in general.
Our only cleanliness issue is there seemed to be a lot of hair on the floors (especially upstairs) but everything else was very clean and the accommodations were cozy!
This is a lovely house with lots of character. The location is very convenient- close to shops snd restaurants and a 15 minute drive to Pawley’s Island. There is a bedroom on the ground floor, so it was perfect for my elderly parents, me and my teenage kids. The host Ann was wonderful and answered questions promptly. I would definitely recommend this house.
