We were there for a funeral and not to necessarily vacation but this definitely made it comforting to stay. I gave a four star because I didn’t necessarily like being on a busy street but you go one block over and there’s the beach.
Walking distance from the lake, my nephews & son loved swimming & playing games at the house. Plenty of space for everyone (7 people) & the kringle waiting for us was awesome. Thanks for everything.
Chose this property because we were in town for Parkside graduation- it was absolutely perfect! The house has so much space, indoors and outdoors. Perfect location to Lake Michigan, downtown Racine, short drive to UW Parkside and Milwaukee. Chris has thought of everything- best host ever! The beds were very comfortable, house was cozy and comfortable- highly recommend this property!
Chris is a Fantastic Host!! Very large Home! Great comfy beds, great kitchen! So many flat screens! Each room had one! Super short walk to North Beach. This is a Beautiful Cream Brick home with history! We loved our stay! Thanks so much Chris!
Was looking for a residence to house several participants coming for an art retreat that was close to my 16th Street Studio space, and this fit our needs in every way. Roomy enough to give us our space for relaxing -- there are nooks and sitting areas and a wonderful backyard space. Close to the art museum and a short walk to the beach, which we would have done if we had scheduled more time. We'll be back! :)

Jennifer, thanks so much for the great review. You and your family were a pleasure to host. Please come back and see us again soon. You are always welcome here. All the best, Chris Racine, Kenosha, Milwaukee WI
My family (5 adults, 5 teenagers, and 1 pre-teen) were wanting to have a nice summer vacation where we could experience Lake Michigan including Chicago and Six Flags Great America. Christopher's place provided the perfect location and allowed us to visit Chicago two different days, Six Flags, while also having an awesome time staying local. The Racine 4th of July parade is a sight to behold and was a huge bonus for my family even though it wasn't on our radar prior to booking. Christopher was very quick to respond to any questions and the house was very generously appointed with all basic necessities and a few extra nice touches (love the Kringle and purchased more). I highly recommend this property for anyone looking to experience all the area has to offer.
We enjoyed our stay and the house was very nice. The only things we didn’t care for were the rug in the living room right as we first walked in was stained. There was an uncovered light fixture in the kitchen ceiling and while not truly dangerous was not appealing. Some small things that didn’t affect the stay but they should be cleaned and fixed.
This home is just as listed. We had snacks, water, & wine waiting for us after our long drive. Location is great with a short walk to the lake. There were 7 of in our "over 50" group & the house was plenty big without feeling crowded. The neighborhood is good and mostly quite with exception of the church bells but that didn't bother us. The back yard is private with a tall fence and offers a fire pit & grill. Bathroom shower water pressure is good. The water gets REALLY hot but that is just for a heads up.😉 There are stairs going up to 2 bedrooms & stairs going down to rec room area - for those who have sensitive knees climbing steps. Our host went above & beyond to make sure we were happy & taken care of. We will definitely choose this host if we return for another trip to Racine.
I have stayed in many of Christophers places over the years. I knew that he goes out of his way in all his homes to make it very comfortable and convenient in checking in. Everything was perfect, my kids loved the place and they were very comfortable and felt safe in the good neighborhood. I am certain that we will have to come up in the next few months so I will be looking to stay in one of Christophers homes. The guy deserves a 10 rating!!!
I stayed at this house with a group of friends, and we really enjoyed our time there. The host was kind enough to leave us some snacks--including a famous Racine Kringle--and ground coffee to make our first morning perfect. The beds and furniture were quite comfortable, and the house had all the amenities I could ask for. We were within walking distance of downtown shops, restaurants, and the waterfront.
We had 6 adults and one infant stay at this house for 4 nights and we had a great time. Really appreciated the communication with Chris, he was very responsive to all questions and concerns. Location of the house was great, beach was just a short walk from the house. The fire pit in the back was great as well. And the Kringle pastry was delicious!
Only negatives I can say are that the parking is somewhat limited (2 cars in single lane driveway), though you can park on the somewhat busy street in front of the house. The grill could probably use a good cleaning as well. Also, kitchen was missing a few essentials like cooking oil, though there were grocery stores nearby we could buy them from.
Overall would recommend to anyone looking for a house near the beach!
Chris was a wonderful host. He did a great job communicating and responding to questions. The property was great for the 13 guests we had staying together. We would stay again if we are in Racine.
14 family members in town for a family reunion. The house was very welcoming with treats upon arrival & well stocked with paper goods. Everyone had a bed. The basement was quite cold for sleeping, even for our summer stay. We had a few issues, which the owner/manager was very quick to respond to. Main Street is quite a busy street, but we enjoyed sitting on the front porch to people watch. Back porch & fenced yard was wonderful to gather for coffee in the mornings & sunsets & s'mores at the fire-pit at night. Just a short walk to a nice park & beach. We would stay here again.
Selected for the four actual bedrooms and was very pleased with the comfortable beds and proximity to bathrooms. Amazing gathering areas. Short walk to beachfront and nice long walks to zoo, marina, and downtown restaurants. Highly recommend!
My family came into town for my Mother's funeral. Family from MI, CO, and TX. Everyone was comfortable and was able to create great memories. We had a small gathering after the funeral which was beautiful. We plan to rent here once again
My family (10 people) stayed in this unit and had a wonderful time. Living area and kitchen easily accommodated us. Bedrooms very comfortable and everything was new. Backyard patio and law with a small fire pit. We would easily stay here again.

We loved this new-ish vrbo! Don't let the lack of reviews scare ya away. It was about a 3 minute toddler walk from the lake! Within a half mile is amazing coffee shops, gelato, HUGE playground, the lake, downtown, etc. Kitchen had all the essentials, and the hosts were quick to reply to any questions!

I've been married for almost 40 years to my wife Alane and have three boys. My two oldest sons married Brazilian girls, Gillie and Juliana. Arthur and Juliana are in the Baltimore area with our little granddaughter Victoria and grandson Luca. Alex and Gillie are in San Jose. Our youngest son, Christopher (The Foof), is disabled and is the coolest kid. He's over 30 years old and lives at home with us.
Our family travels to a great many places. Foof travels everywhere with us and my other sons Arthur and Alex and their wives are world travelers as well. Foof goes with us to the Grand Cayman's several times a year as well as places like Aruba, Hawaii, Indy car races, concerts, and more. He loves to visit his brothers. I travel to China several times a year for business and pleasure.
I feel with all the travelling we do, we know what travelers want and like. We have gone the extra mile to make our properties fun and unique. We print the custom artwork that you see in our homes. We have top notch beds, pillows, and bedding, as well as gym work out equipment, fun activities like foosball tables, putting greens, and more. We would like your experience to be memorable, because in the end you only have the great memories of your adventures! We want to be part of that. So if you have any special needs or questions, please let us know.
Have fun, and we look forward to meeting you and showing you our city!
Chris, Alane, Arthur, Juliana, Alex, Giselle, and of course, The Foof
