We had the best time. It's very secluded and private. Luxury bedding. Well stocked kitchen. We have stayed in riverbend community multiple times and have always had good experience. We were so glad to be able to support the mountain area we love so much.
Lovely, quiet setting, comfortable and roomy accommodations, lots of activities for kids, and close to everything we wanted to see. Wonderful experience for us all!
Nice house. It was great for 6 adults and three teens. It was somewhat noisy but the beds were very comfortable. The kids enjoyed the creek and air hockey.!
The cabin is very private and secluded. We really enjoyed the wraparound porch with all the rocking chairs to enjoy our morning coffee. The cabin met all of our sleeping needs (7 individuals) and cooking needs. The only negative issue we encountered was a weak
Wi-Fi connectivity. The family enjoyed many of the local attractions: zip lining, swimming, canoeing, whitewater rafting, hiking and a day trip to tour the Biltmore Estates. It was an amazing trip!

We are glad you had an amazing trip. The Wi-Fi is AT&T DSL. This Wi-Fi is good for checking emails, and limited internet usage. We are in a rural area, and this is the best that is offered. We are glad the other amenities kept you busy.
We used this house for our wedding party to stay with us the week of our wedding. It could not have been more perfect! We all had a comfortable place to sleep. Our favorite moments were the times spent on the huge porch with a beautiful view.
Todd was an amazing host and responded to any and all questions we had in a timely manner.
We definitely recommend staying here!
Redbird retreat was a wonderful house in a great neighborhood. The house is very cozy, beds were very comfortable, plenty of linens and all you need in the kitchen. We didnt check out the neighborhood until the last 2 days but should have done so the first day, we really didnt need to leave the neighborhood for the lake and river! Ingles is a short 10 min drive. If you want to eat out be sure to make reservations.
We loved our visit for our Family Christmas trip. The cabin was beautiful and was even decorated for Christmas. The children especially loved the air hockey table and hot tub. We spent slot of time hiking the woods and the waterfalls. Todd was super helpful and responsive.
Just a tip to future visitors: make sure you bring extra toilet paper, and trash bags. Also there is not a casserole dish there if you will need one, grab a disposable one from Ingles!

Best Cabin in the Mountains
My family and I spent a week here and it was the best place to be. The cabin was spacious and fun. We were blessed with great weather and only had one rainy day. No one complained about it because there was so much to do - air hockey and apples to apples ROCKED! The cabin was clean especially for being secluded in the mountains. The Hot Tub was phenomenal!!! The only draw back would be the stairs. If you are not used to a lot of stairs you will get a workout. I, myself, thought it was great! Location, Location, Location is great because all the things we wanted to do were very close by. Recommend: Canopy River Zipline, Chimney Rock Gem Mining, Lake Lure Adventure Company, and Green River Cove Tubing. You can not go wrong.
We will be back!!!

We are so glad that you enjoyed your time at Redbird Retreat and look forward to your return. I especially loved that you provided feedback on activities from a guest point of view.
We had a group of 9 and had an abundance of space. The kids slept in the 5 day beds in the loft. All three king rooms were great. We enjoyed the creek, floated the river with the tubes, and the kids loved the game room during the rainy days. We loved sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs/floating bed. It was very peaceful! As mentioned in previous posts, bring a non-stick pan if you are going to cook, and the WiFi is spotty. We didn't care about WiFi since our goal was to escape. If we needed to google a map we would just walk out to the driveway. Loved the grill, spa, and full-size washer! The property is about a mile from the swimming hole/trash dumpster. We took bikes, but the neighborhood is VERY steep and we had to drive. This is a great home-base property but we had to drive into town or to the trails every day, we were not able to bike in and out as we had hoped. The lake is about a 20 minute drive from the cabin. Grocery store was about 15 minutes away. Super speedy communication from the owners. Thanks for a great stay!!

Thanks for the feedback, we are glad you had a great stay. For future guests, we have commercial grade stainless steel pots and pans that are dishwasher safe. If you prefer non-stick, then we suggest you do bring your own pans. For WiFi, we have recently installed a hot spot with unlimited data, which has supported us during working hours with VPN and video calls. We are in a rural area, this is best available WiFi at this time. Lake Mirror, the private lake in the neighborhood, is 1.5 miles away. It is walk-able, but the walk is steep at certain sections. The roads in the neighborhood are crush and run gravel. Lake Lure (town & lake) is about 5 miles away. The full service Ingles grocery is 4 miles away (10-15 min trip) with rural mountain roads.

Great layout and location. Bad internet!
Overall we really liked the place. Three masters made it really appealing. Game room was great. Was well outfitted.
Internet was an issue. The guide (which was not accessible at all when we got there and I had to walk up the mountain to get enough service for the app to open after almost an hour of trying—why not make the password available on paper like every other rental property?) indicated that email would work and web calls could even occur.
That was not our experience at all. Yes, the goal is to get away but it was a big added stress for me to not even get emails to go through. It caused an issue for me with work as I was not expecting to be completely inaccessible. I spent more time trying to get a handful of critical things to go out as a result. This was the case even when the entire household was asleep and not on devices. I also couldn’t download workout videos, TVs would often not get enough service, etc. would have been nice to plan for ahead of arrival.
We tried troubleshooting instructions but it didn’t impact. I’ve stayed some pretty remote places and never had issues this bad. There must be some improvements that a home AV complaint could suggest.
A group of us girls decided we wanted to take a trip to the mountains during apple time. We found this cabin on VRBO and fell in love with it. It was perfect for us and none of us wanted to leave. A big thumbs up from all of us.
Very nice 3 story cabin in the woods in the mountains around Lake Lure. The 1/2 mile of gravel road up to the property was
an interesting ride but we had no real challenges with our suv's.
The cabin is well built but the wood interior floors and walls were not sound proof.
Overall experience was good.
Love this home! All the bedrooms are a wonderful size with King beds! All of our different families fit in this house perfectly! The kids loved the basement game room! The adults love the hot tub! This property came with everything that we needed in the kitchen too! Since Lake Lure Beach is only open on Saturday and Sunday we definitely took full advantage of the private beach within the neighborhood! We also enjoyed the perk of a canoe that comes with the home. It was perfect! Ingles grocery store is just down the road and has everything you could possibly want! (Get the free member rewards card and save yourself a little extra money!) The store even has a Starbucks in it! If I had a question the homeowner replied extremely quick and very helpful with their replies! This was a wonderful stay & experience!
The house was just as advertised. Great location and great amenities. Owner was easy to deal with and very forthcoming with information that made our stay perfect. Would stay here again.
This home is absolutely gorgeous! We really enjoyed our quick stay of two nights. We wish it could have been longer. The house was very clean and all instructions were very clear and concise.
This house was the perfect getaway for me and my partner. So private and secluded! The large swing and hot tub on the porch surrounded by the woods was so relaxing. Recently I’ve found the beds in rentals to be uncomfortable but the bed we used in this cabin was heavenly. The kitchen was also spacious and perfect for cooking meals.
The home was beautiful and well-appointed. Loved having amenities on the property like hot tub and game room (kids especially loved the air hockey!) We walked on the trail by Mirror Lake and went to Lake Lure Beach and downtown Chimney Rock - very close and easy drive. I wouldn’t want to drive the crazy steep, gravel roads around Riverbend in the winter but September was a perfect time to visit! Hope we will be back!
