Our stay at the Tollhouse Cottage was truly perfect! The cabin was very cute, well-stocked with everything we could have needed, and extremely clean! The furniture is new and clean, the floors were nice and clean, and the kitchen and bathrooms were uber clean as well. We were also very impressed with the patio, barbecue, dishes, comfortable beds, extra bedding and towels, and location. Really, every detail was perfect. We look forward to returning to Shaver and hope to book this cabin again!

The location is great! Close to Shaver Lake, good food, hiking trails, and mountain bike trails. Everything you need to do is within a 30 minute drive. The house itself is very accommodating. We had a 2.5 y/o toddler with us and had no issues. About 2 hour drive to Sequoia NP and Yosemite NP. Would highly recommend this place!

Winter weekend
We stayed for 2 nights in February. As stated in the description this house is in the middle of it all of Shaver. Great location. Walking distance to everything. The house is great. Clean. Comfortable beds and felt spacious for our family of 4.
I was looking for a comfortable place to recharge and get in some good hiking and fishing. Clean and comfortable cottage. Had the comforts of home including a reliable Wi-Fi. although the front is located on Tollhouse Rd, I didn’t find it bothersome and there’s ample space behind the cottage for a morning or after dinner walk.
The host was very accommodating and provided suggestions for eating and activities. The location was convenient to local dining, campgrounds, the marina, and access to the lakeshore.
The steps leading to the 2nd floor might be a bit steep for some but there’s a large bedroom and full bath on the 1st floor as an option.
I was also pleasantly surprised by the nice bottle of wine welcoming the stay. I know it’s in the rental description but the host actually walks the talk. Past rentals have listed wine or basket of treats only to let us know they no longer offer it after we’ve arrived.
Overall one of the best places I’ve stayed. I was able to relax and enjoy the surrounding area. Will definitely keep it as an option for a family vacation
This cottage was nearly perfect. The stairs were steep and the beds we're too firm for me, but it was warm, and the water got hot fast. There were plenty of warm blankets. It was an Ideal location. One block to the Trading Post for Monkey Bread and restaurants. A short distance to a hill to slide down on snowsleds. Hungry Hut across the street. All food was expensive, but we brought most of our food with us. Couple of minutes to the lake by car. We will probably be back.
Family friendly cottage with a great location and amenities—could use a thorough dusting
We very much enjoyed our stay at Shaver Lake and the cottage is located in a very convenient area—across the street from restaurants and markets are just a block or two away. The home had many nice touches to make us feel welcome and overall my family loved staying there. The upstairs is perfect for children and the kitchen is perfect for making meals. We also appreciated the available washer and dryer.
The one big drawback for us was the amount of dust in the cottage. It was quite bad, to the point that by the third night of our stay, I could hardly breath and my eyes were badly swollen. It's taken my family a couple of days to recover. If you have allergies, take caution.
Had a wonderful time staying here. Right in the heart of shaver Very clean and cozy place plenty of room we even has a surprise visit from a baby bear Definitely would stay here again
This was our families first trip to Shaver Lake and it will not be our last. Jaime was an amazing host who provided great tips for around town and who’re arriving. The cabin was perfect for our family and dog. The location was central to everything. We will be returning to Shaver Lake for sure. Thank Jaime for sharing your property with our family.
