Well-maintained 6-bedroom townhouse with 5 full baths and a half bath.
The house holds 2 separate units with identical floor plans. Three floors of living space with decks on each level. The kitchen is spacious with countertop seating for 6. The dining area has a large round table that seats another 7. Three bedrooms have private balconies with ocean views. Two bedrooms open to a shared deck overlooking the ocean.
The first floor has 2 queen bedrooms, 1 bedroom with twin trundle beds, and a bunk room with 4 beds (2 are double and 2 are twin). The second floor has an open floor plan for living / dining / kitchen, a half bath, and a king master suite with a private balcony that offers ocean and sound views. The top floor has a penthouse suite (king bed) with a private deck facing the ocean. Private full baths for four of the bedrooms. A gas grill is provided on the deck off the kitchen. Great room has a gas fireplace with new 48” flat screen TV and DVD player. Dumbwaiter brings luggage and groceries up to 1st and 2d levels.
Free WiFi throughout. Outdoor shower with changing area. Garage holds 4 cars. Room for 2 additional cars on driveway. 392 & 394 New River Inlet Road. Note that some of the exterior photos are older and do not show a house recently built on the lot to the north. That new house is set back, so the views remain unobstructed.
This house has been earning rave reviews for several years. The entire house rents under a separate 12 bedroom listing (set the search filter to 10+ bedrooms and 10+ baths).

We love Topsail and have been coming for over 10 years. Although we are used to having a full house with more bedrooms, this one fit our needs. This house is also walking distance from the park which was awesome for our kids. Only suggestion I have would to maybe add more living room seating to accommodate more people sitting on a larger couch/sectional and also fixing the stairs and railing that lead down to the beach. We had a wonderful time and the owner was great with communicating!
This property was great, our family thoroughly enjoyed our time on Topsail. The main reason for the 3/5 rating is the furniture, all of it, is horribly in need of replacement. All of the mattresses were uncomfortable, none of the couches or chairs had any cushion left, and the upholstery on all the furniture was beyond worn out. Besides those issues, the experience and space was great. The location of the house is awesome, close to the grocery and shopping, and the beach was wide open and beautiful.

Perfect house for large family gathering
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home in North Topsail. There were 14 of us (8 adults, 6 kids) and we all fit comfortably. Location was fantastic, as it was just a short walk from the pier (which serves a great breakfast and lunch) and to the park, where we enjoyed crabbing, fishing, basketball, and Italian ice! The views from the main living area and the deck were gorgeous. We did have neighbors in the adjacent unit, but we wouldn’t have even known had it not been for their vehicles out front. Paulette was great to work with. From the moment we booked to when we checked in, she was very helpful and responsive. It is evident that Paulette wants all her guests to have nothing but a 5 star experience, and we certainly weren’t let down! Thanks for sharing your house with us and allowing such wonderful family memories to be made over this spring break 2018!
We had a wonderful weeklong stay at this fabulous property. Very spacious layout, kitchen is fully stocked, even with a separate beer/wine fridge. The owner, David, was extremely friendly and an excellent communicator. Very thorough and clear instructions regarding everything from check in, to restaurant suggestions to trash take out, as well as local urgent care and hospital information, and check out procedures. We had a few small things to suggest and the David was all ears. The property is very well-maintained and the location can’t be beat. Just over the northern bridge so grocery shopping is six minutes away. Literally almost across the street is a small playground the younger kids loved and our teens enjoyed the basketball court as well as tennis court. The pier is just a quick drive away or a bit longer walk on the beach if you choose. The beds were clean and very comfortable with ceiling fans in most room. The full baths attached to most rooms were also great when many wanted to brush teeth or get ready simultaneously. Living room was stocked with many games/puzzles for a rainy day and our big group had plenty of seating to all be able to enjoy meals together. We did not use the dumbwaiter, but that would be a great feature for someone who was bringing in groceries and luggage etc. The garage is great to pull into to unload or pack up in bad weather and it also housed many beach toys, and some beach chairs for those of us that forgot to bring them! The washing machine and dryer were also an awesome feature. It’s nice to be able to pack lightly and wash items throughout the week. We have never stayed at the same rental twice but this one is tugging at us to rent again! You won’t be disappointed. Thanks for the memories!

I want to rent it next year for our annual beach trip. Keep up good work and management, we truly enjoyed staying in this property. The dumbwaiter is awesome.
This home provided the perfect place to spend a week at the beach. There are a lot of steps, the dumbwaiter definitely came in handy for hauling groceries and bags from floor to floor. The layout worked perfectly for our group, as everyone had their floor to get some privacy if needed. David the new owner was very communicative and responsive to questions and checked in on us by text during our stay. There were a few things mentioned to David for maintenance and needs, nothing that overall detracted from the stay. Nice quiet area just steps to the beach. We would definitely look this home up again if coming back to Topsail.
Our kids had an unexpected break between semesters and we decided we needed a change in scenery from our DC suburb. This we the perfect low key getaway. The house is right on the ocean. We had 5 perfect sunny days in the 50s. Daughter was able to read outside every day. We collected shells, cooked a pot of seafood from Topsail Steamers and just relaxed watching the sunset. The rental is half of a very large home, split into twonequal townhouses. We could not see or hear the family on the other side. The house is lovely and was very clean. Everything worked as advertised, except the dumbwaiter, which we did not need. You are dealing directly with the McGraths who own both sides. They are terrific and have well deserved pride of place. If you rent this listing, take care of it as if it were your own. Enjoy!
Wow, what a magnificent home! It is hard to imagine a better home or location on the NC coast. Paulette is a fantastic host with great communication and the home is very clean, nice amenities (thankfully including towels and linens), with sublime views from every floor and excellent soundproofing. Sitting in the living room, surrounded by waves and sunlight in every direction, it is hard to imagine a more beautiful spot on the NC coast. We will remember our stay for many years and hope to return very soon!
This was a beautiful home right on the beach. We had a wonderful time —it was a great spot for three generations of our family. The house was nicely equipped with sand toys, boogie boards, etc. Wonderful kitchen with everything we needed. Paulette was terrific to work with and checked to make sure we understood how everything worked. Would stay there again!
Great time had by all. Perfect long weekend getaway!! Would recommend this home to anyone wanting great ocean views and easy beach access! His home had the best stocked kitchen of any of the homes that we have rented in the past!!!
we really enjoyed our stay at this house. It was amazing and very spacious. Looking out the beach front doors and just relaxing and listening to the waves was so relaxing. Loved it.
The property was amazing and the owners were great to work with. They care about their property and their guests experience and that makes it that much more special to stay here. Perfectly fitted for a large gathering vacation. Close to beach so everyone could take a walk, relax, read or get away from the crowd when they felt the need (and still be near and close). We will stay here again and hopefully soon. Thanks Jim and Paulette for allowing us to enjoy your beach house vacation spot in North Topsail Beach NC.
This is a great house, and a great location, literally steps from the beach.
This is a great house for an extended family. Plenty of room to spread out. Having a bathroom for every bedroom was really nice. The enclosed warm water outdoor shower was a great bonus. We had young kids with us and being able to get rid of all the sand before coming inside made keeping things clean a lot easier. My only real concern was that the wifi is not password protected, and we had 3 people working from there during the week. Overall a great experience.
We enjoyed our stay, staying right on the beach is great and the views are excellent! The owners are definitely keen on keeping the property well maintained.

Covid-19 vacation
We are long time vacationers of Topsail Island, first time in North Topsail. Great weather and amazing views from this home. For the price we paid, I think it's fair to say that our expectations were not met.
Location: quiet beach immediately in front of house, but be aware, large public access with large public parking lot is approx 100 yds from home.
Pros: many linens and towels included
-well stocked kitchen
-clean and bright decorating
- amazing views and great walking beach (packed sand)
Cons: this "house" is really a "duplex" or townhouse unless you rent both sides
-Wi-fi is not secure, no password. We did not use it because of this.
-Chairs on decks are flimsy plastic and not comfortable.
-limited main room seating (1 couch, 2 arm chairs) considering the house sleeps 16
-The a/c kicks "off" if anyone leaves a door such as a heavy slider door "not quite snug" after 60 seconds.
-Owners produced very helpful "instructions" via email 2 separate times prior to arrival, but in order to obtain our "access code" the day of arrival, we still had to speak to the owner and listened to her repeat the entire 3 pages of information , again. I'm sure she was just trying to be helpful, but we were in the middle of driving to our vacation.
Homeowners had scheduled 2 handymen to work on exterior of home on our arrival day (during height of Covid-19). After a long drive to the house, we were greeted by two handymen not wearing masks (or shirts for that matter), coming in and out of home (bedroom access) numerous times for 2+ hours after we checked in. This meant extra cleaning and wiping down and fly swatting (by me) once they left... 2 hours into my vacation week. The owner had even requested that we allow the workers to return during the week to finish "non-emergent" repairs. Um, no. We received one half hearted apology from owners for this inconvenience, after the week was over.
A really expansive and beautiful home. We were two families: 10 total, with the need for 5 separate bedrooms and this home met the need. Lots of steps, but we enjoyed the mini workouts and took advantage of the dumbwaiter for groceries and luggage.
The owners were very attentive and checked on us on our first full day. No issues at all with the house. Modern, immaculate, with plenty of room for all of us.
The weather was rainy for the first 4 days, that just meant we did more puzzles and card games indoors, and fished and surfed in the rain. It was a great setup for the amazing sunny days that followed. Lots of shell and small rock collecting. Other activities: crabbing at the gazebo, fishing contest on the great pier, sand castle construction, body and board surfing, SUP, Wilmington visit (USS North Carolina, Airlie Garden, Kilwin's fudge and ice cream), and ocean gazing.
Great home and vacation. Thank you to the owner/hosts!
We had a great time during our stay. The house was clean and spacious. The kitchen is well stocked if you like to eat in during your vacation. I like the the proximity to grocery stores while still being able to enjoy a quiet, uncrowded beach.

Beautiful and clean
We stayed at this beautiful beach house on the north end of Topsail beach. We found the house had plenty of room and was very clean. The only exception was that the dumb weigher was not working but they’re working on fixing it. The other thing was the stove was in need of some miner repairs. The handle on the lower drawer was missing a screw and completely off. While the rest of the handles needed all the screws to be tightened. Other than that there are 4 levels to this beach home with 20, 17, 17, and 17 steps to each level. Knowing that folks with any handicaps should not rent this place. We had an individual who was able to walk up any stairs and we all ended up on the ground floor in the garage!

We had a lovely stay. There was some confusion about the code to get in but we are resourceful and someone had left one of the sliding doors open so we were able to get in. I wish that we had known ahead of time that the dumb waiter was down but once again we are resourceful. The house is lovely and the weather was great. The kitchen was well stocked and we really enjoyed the grill. It was nice to have the beds made and not packing and hauling linens was a treat and much appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful beach week
